Another cold start to a day of full sun. +2C.

I shall start the blood refreshing early and hopefully be done by 11 o'clock by which
time it will have warmed up a bit and I can get into the garden to potter about.
My old pottering trousers have been confined to the bin so I shall have to start getting
a new pair up to standard..

Sun again in London. Walk up to Angel this morning, avoiding others, and carrying hand spray, vital meeting with bank manager, papers to sign re house sale.

Morning folks.

I will add Mrs IB and myself to the show of support for the Ex-as.

Tis only 10c and wont get above 16 today. Rain expected to fall again shortly.

Not going out again apart from dog walking.

I am getting extremely fed up and annoyed at a couple of female ex-pats who live in this area, who are consistently spreading false news on the book of faces and sending emails about new restrictions during the crisis.Total fiction. Bring back the ducking stool I say.

Please report back. I know when we went to the solicitors Friday, we s at in the waiting room before being shown to conference room, did not sit near her, wore gloves, used our own pen, did not handle papers. They had sanitized the room before and after.

Also the streets. Is the message sinking in?

Keep two metres apart, avoid coughers and sneezers, disinfect hands, do not touch face. How simple is that !

Just back from taking a long walk out across the fields with the Black Bitch. Saw but one person, a young lady jogging who, frankly, looked as though she needs the exercise.

'Tis as beautiful a spring morning out there as you can imagine.

Good to hear that our corespondents in Bots are recovering.

The police there need to pull in the ringleader.

OFSO, our surgery shut on Saturday, had telephone consultation bang on time. When back to normal they should have an egg timer, 7.5minutes off you go. 2.5 minutes to write up notes, wash hands, slurp coffee: NEXT

G'day,
Just waiting for rain, big glop just off the coast dissipating without encroaching.
SM just about to put the bedding out, that should fix it.

Staying in today, but expect to be running out of stuff tomorrow.
I will brave the shops then.

We have run out of wood, we still have big lumps of olive root but it just won't burn in my fire.
It's cold too so the A/C will get a hammering.

The supermarkets should have chained the trolleys up.You can't panic buy with a shopping basket.

Morning folks, forget the robbery and the bashing up and again thank you for you thoughts. But what have they done here? All pubs stay open but are not allowed to serve alcohol. Work that one out. Went to our out of town safari camp this morning and the bar chappie said no beer allowed :(( . The owner's mother who is the front of house manager told him to serve us. :-bd Then went to the most famous hotel in town no problem. Then went to the huge conference hotel in town, no incinhol. Spoke to the manager. Bar open but no booze. Well that is not a bar is it? They are also not allowed to serve breakfast before 08.00. Why ? Meetings start at 08.00. They are going right over the top here which is not a bad thing. Our medical services can't cope with a big trauma like this. No one comes out of our town hospital alive. They always have leaflets for funeral directors on the reception desk.

Overcast and pretty miserable. Dripping with rain.

Clan Ex-A has my thoughts and best wishes. I hope the scum get accidentally kneecapped on a daily basis.

Got snarled up with stuff this morning and the pot of coffee got a bit cool. Put mine in the microwave, pressed wrong button. Threw out what was left of the coffee, cleaned the inside of the microwave. Is it too early for beer?

Just drove to the City walk-in clinic. Roads empty. Very odd. However construction work on skyscrapers continuing L, R and C. So many trucks, low-loaders etc.

Only 8 out of 22 left. They are kneeing in the water to keep covered. Don't think the others have died just moved up river.

Best wishes to everybody in these difficult times.

Meanwhile, the chavs in this town have caused a traffic jam outside Macdonalds as they try to get their last fix of what is loosely termed as food before the place closes TFN. Even the local Greggs is closing - do I hear cries of "Where am I going to get my breakfast?"

There is some good news arising from MacD's closure - for a while, there will be a significant reduction in the amount of packaging rubbish dumped in me canal and the local river.
It's always my fault - SWMBO

Although we are 17 miles from the nearest McDonalds (across 'rural country' and with only one return bus from there each day), we, nevertheless suffer litter therefrom.

It makes you wonder . . .

In fact there is no direct connection between our settlements - a change of bus in the nearby town would be needed - so I presume they are arriving by car - not an obvious route for visitors and certainly not for commuters.
