Morning folks.

A nice sunny one with temps up to 23c today.

Into town to sort out solicitor dealing with my inheritance from aunt. A total mess is being made of process and documents being asked for that I simply cannot provide.

Ford pours magic juice in the wife's 15 year old Fitsa and runs the engine for 15 minutes. Passes the annual emissions test every time ! (Not sure about the other 364 days of the year, though.)

Which one is you among the old fartery mate?
I operated the camera!

The story of my life, no pictures of me in many places I've been to.

The only pics in NZ of me were the ones I took with me, in my passport!

Morning all,

Is dull and overcast, a humid 20c, guess 24c.

Henry is driving us mad, he was nearly hysterical last night. No quiet hour with the TV for us.

He grows by the day, I'll weigh him later but I expect him to be bob on the vet's guess.
We go for the second jabs on Wednesday and she expected 10kg, I think he will be just over that.

I go to play hunt the oven light bulb.

Just back from having the grey locks trimmed at the Turkish barber in town. He apologised for the price having gone up £1 to £12. He's now added a pensioners' price to his price list ...£9. He didn't offer that when I came to pay. So chuffed he didn't think I was a pensioner - I'm almost 75 - that I happily paid £12....or maybe he did think I was an old git and asked for the £12 anyway. Probably the latter.

I have three acquaintances, Catalan and English, reduced to poverty by Spanish inheritance tax. One of the locals told me that where the parents are elderly and wealthy it's customary for the children to ask that their names be omitted from the parents Last W &T.

Mrs PN wonders why I use the same mechanics I previously used even though we moved and they an hour away.

The car will pass its MOT if it is a runner as they will fix it before it is tested and they lend me a car for the morning.

Due next month.

Lucky escape, they wanted me to get SiL on the mortgage agreement.

The urbanisation where I'm selling up has many properties owned by Germans, French and Dutch where the death of the property owner was never declared in Spain. The nearest one was owned by very good friends. Their descendents/inheritors never reported the deaths, which happened in Germany. Bank accounts never closed and all bills paid by direct debit. I occasionally check their letterbox and see bills and receipts addressed to the old folk, dead this many years.

C16, My first action on sitting down for a haircut is to pointily advise that I am retired by manoeuvring the conversation in such a way as I can quickly establish that don't intend to pay full price, usual rates here seem to be eight quid for OAP and ten quid for those that can afford it, I give a two quid tip which pleases the hairdressing lady and means that I only pay a tenner. Will be visiting later in the week for trim.
Wodrik, glad new addition is settling, Misty is starting to behave in a less delinquent fashion, she is a point of interest for the local boy cats, yesterday we heard a load of growling from the front bedroom, she was sat on the window sill in her observation position, an extremely large neighbouring cat had scrambled up the wisteria at the front of the house and was cavorting about outside the window, very handsome chap, missus om had to squirt him with water to dislodge him.
Got the final clearance and discharge from the hospital at Dorchester this morning, left hand now officially serviceable, celebrated by a long fast motorbike run up into Wiltshire, very blusterery but good fun, came back rather windswept, will do Devon tomorrow.

If landlords didn't rent out houses all those people living in them would be homeless, or is that too simplistic for the Trots.

They believe that accommodation is a 'Yuman Right' and should be supplied on demand by a benevolent government.

Said benevolent government of course has a bottomless pocket of cash, that has been appropriated from the evil rich.

Even better, the Scottish Numpty Party want to enact into law food as a yoominrite. I have an acquaintance who smokes, drinks, plays the fruit machines and complains if there's tinned fish in his parcel from the food bank.
