This Dawlish web-cam gives quite a good close-up of some of the ships as its scanning around the bay. Patience is required because it's mainly for the black swan watchers.

It's always my fault - SWMBO

Looking at the web cams at Dawlish, it looks like an invasion fleet anchored up in Tor Bay - according to AIS there's at least 15 large vessels. Another ship is shown as heading into the bay for refuge.....does this mean there's a storm brewing?
Uh huh. There is. Last four missed us. This one.....we'll know more by this time tomorrow. (Currently cat 2).

He flies for Air Astral.
Its Air Austral!
What a/c types does he drive? If its 737's he might have had the privilege of carrying us. Ask him what he calls the airport in St. Dennis, If he answers Roland Garros, he is one of the new guys. It was called Gillot when we 1st went there.
Air Austral expanded too rapidly at one time and then cut back rather severely.
When I 1st used them I think they had 4 a/c, 2 x 735's and 2 x ATR. Then they got ambitious and bought wide bodies and went for long range stuff. They even ordered 2 x A380, configured for all cattle class, something over 800 seats! They never got delivered.
They were one of the few airlines that flew between Europe and Australia! They stopped off in Australia somewhere en-route to Tahiti or some other place in French Polynesia. Of course Reunion to Paris is an internal flight!
When they only had 2 x 735's, they were all cattle class, but it was the best catered cattle class I've experienced, even complimentary champers!

My PC wallpaper is a Reunion sunset. Picture taken from the Hotel Boucan Canot.

First night with a duvet instead of a simple cotton sheet. Not overly hot. A period of rain over the last 24 hours. I even managed to make some pictures with the rain illuminated by the street lights.

Alexa guessed it would rain in 5 minutes and 7 deg with wind chill at 3.

Spot on with the weather, but I was over dressed.

Very crowded though, saw 4 people and 8 dogs. Only one person close enough to speak to.

Morning all,
19 for 23, cloudless.

Andalucia closed, that'll stop the bridge weekend, still be a holiday on Monday though.

I guess my French viewing next Saturday won't be happening.

Strimmer arrived with broken packaging, I don't think SEUR should have delivered it in that condition.
I have complained and sent pictures up the big river.
Now to see if it is undamaged and all there.

The just-after-midnight Anatov 26 flights from Zagreb to Zaragoza continue to drone overhead, most every night. Other than sharing the first letter of their names I cannot think what connects these two cities.

Morning folks. Just heard that our good friend and only neighbour on Amorgos died last night. Our betting is that she topped herself. Funeral today. She had such a severe widow's hump I have asked how the hell that they are going to get the lid on the coffin. They will have to bury her sitting up. Then when it rains her head will stick up above ground. They are running around like headless chickens at the moment trying to sort things out. This will be practically everyone on the island attending. Even the policeman.

Bloody hot again here.

More than likely car parts, I would say. Zaragoza has an Opel factory and in Zagreb there is a factory called Rimac, which is in the process of producing an electric sports car:

Going on from EA's trivia joke. Clearing up out last garden before sale I discovered a large unidentifiable load of wires. Vaguely like bed springs but no frame and no real form. Wondered if it was wartime rubbish as reputedly there had been AA Guns in the vicinity.

New home, removing weeds from a French drain discovered a 20mm steel rod about a metre long. At one end a point, at the other tapped and two nuts and a washer. Strange but it has become an invaluable garden tool. I can drive it in to check for rocks and use it as a crowbar to lever rocks out.

Not another piece of war detritus I hope. A pipe bomb packed with Amatol to be used by the local Home Guard in case of invasion by the Nazi's! =))

TGG, no, it's solid. However I read about 20 years ago that work on our village flyover was held up when a stash of phosphorus bombs were discovered. Not been able to find anything online.

In the previous village a large cache mustard gas trench grenades were discovered only 3 years ago.
