Murky hereabouts at the moment. Just been out to the garage and it is surprisingly mild, unlike yesterday when it was bliddy freezing.

Off to me lock restoration for a joyous day in the gloop.

Porridge and blueberries for breakfast.
It's always my fault - SWMBO

To the torrential rain and force 7 winds devastating Catalunia have been added a string of thunderstorms from the far south drawn up by the depression Gloria over the north. Wave height at Cape Begur currently12.5 metres. Indoors, the wind hitting the house sounds like a train going past.
Just loaded BA478 to BCN, had a load of baggage that couldn’t be offloaded in BCN yesterday, showed my manager your report OFSO, reckons that we might see them again later :-o
When all else fails, read the instructions.

Luckily the road past our house along the mountainside drops away to left and right, so that water coming off the mountain doesn't flood us. Being at 600' asl does give us a view over the Bay, stunning in summer but somewhat alarming Right Now as weather is coming right at us. One satellite dish has gone off but no way I'm going out of doors to investigate. Three more still functioning...

Which reminds me of the foggy foggy few and I just took Mrs PN a cuppa in bed.

BTW, Mrs PN says remember that is 200 year old rat infested gloop.

I cop the same ‘stacker when the missus puts me on a diet, but she only gives me half a bloody cup of natural rolled oats. Hot water is added and allowed to marinate for 5 mins. Add bluebs and serve.

Am I being cheated or can oats be a tad fattening? Wife thinks so.

Yes, and cold? Mrs PN marinates over night then microwave. Blueberries and raspberries added after.

Walking sticks - Following an ankle injury I was provided with two elbow crutches to use until recovery ( successful ) but the handles were formed for left and right hands, and obviously one always picked up the wrong one first - Murphy Is Always With Us - a visit to the $2 shop provided me with red and green nail varnish ( who paints their nails green ? ), problem solved, a dab on each handle provided me with Port and Starboard crutches !
Are y'all aware that the hearing aid industry re-invented this wheel?

They colour code hearing aids as Blue for Port and Red for Starboard!

I keep telling people, confusing me in my dotage, is not an achievement.

Wodrick, my sympathies for the tooth condition. I hope the fettler wouldn't make worst initially.

half a bloody cup of natural rolled oats
Slasher; Another lifetime ago I had a Girlfriend who was very much involved in Equestrian sports. Used to take me for very long rides on one of her more sedate Horses.*

As far as she was concerned, only Horses ate oats!! [-X

*I maintain to this very day that a two hour Horse ride, even at a gentle walking pace is far worse that an 8 hour ride on an old Yamaha TX 650 (which vibrated as much as a Triumph or a BSA) or an all day stint hauling up Gliders in a Pawnee 235.

Nope Pinky. These naturally rolled oats at the wet market are for human consumption. Great for lowering cholesterol and cleaning out one’s guts. Helps in softer **** too.

I once used to have them as the main meal each day for two days before a pilot medical renewal. Thing is to add hot not boiling water, no milk, and easy on the bluebs. I thought one cup was the prescription. The wife says too much and that 1/2 a cup does the correct trick.

Afternoon folks. No exercise for 6 months. My ankles buggered 'er knee buggered. Decided on a new exercise routine. A swift early morning walk. Walked along the lagoon that we normally sail along for 1hr 10 mins. A lot of soft sand, now my back is buggered. We will persist with it everyday apart from town day.

Just been up to the safari camp for a few beers. They are building a big pond. spent 3 hrs watching NRs lifting enormous rocks. Took seven of them to put the top stone on the waterfall. it was in excess of 2 tonnes. As a veteran pond and waterfall constructor I advised the manager that they would have a problems with the water tracking under the waterfall. They have, I must give it some thought.

Just got quote for new garage door lifter. R3 700 / £ 195 / US$ 255 :((
New door lifter fitted, it ain't 'alf quiet! The old one must have been well worn when we bought the house 6 years ago.

The new lifter came fitted with remote control Rx and two remote controllers, which are incompatible with the complex gate system. So I added the old Rx and it all works off 2 buttons of the same old 4 button remote, but what do I do with the 2 new 4 button remotes?

Suggestions?
Polite ones that is.

Two spoons of rolled oats and one of All Bran daily - and cold milk. Keeps the toilet roll makers in work.

Two hour power outage again this afternoon. Could this be a reconnection after yesterday's power outage at six a.m., when a pylon collapsed just north of Girona ? Who knows ? Does anyone bother to tell the public ? Just glad I was not doing something important needing electricity.

I have been well and truly plumbed.

Now all I need is the machine installing, me getting proficient at needling myself and
completing the 2 week long home-haemodialysis course (basically a type rating). I should
hopefully be independently blood straining sometime in February. That in itself should
raise my life expectancy in not having to mix with the nutters on the A50 and A38.

Long day tomorrow. Fistulogram and possible fistuloplasty first thing then straight onto
the Renal Unit for dialysis. Friday back in for Renal Clinic for my 6 monthly check and
Saturday back again for more blood straining. It's getting to be like a full time job.
No pay but the benefits are priceless.

May the force visit all that are suffering from knees, ankles, backs, teeth and all the other
ailments that seem to accompany becoming wise ones.
