Ian, eBay.

Obviously I don't know your setup but if your garage is detached you might be able to use the door openers when you don't need the gate key.

Internet down at home. We have been sat under the same storm all day. It is just moving off to the East at about half a km/h.
There was some close lightning today which took out the house on a surge. Reset ok.

Got my first crown tooth today. Strange having a higher tooth again and getting used to chewing that side. Get the one next to it in July.

When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much he had learned in seven years.

Porridge is one of the 'good' foods for helping me to manage my diabetes it has a low glycemic index (GI) which means it helps avoid spikes in my blood sugar levels.

Something from me canal today - This nut and bolt were used to hold three baulks of timber together. As part of the restoration, some of the timber had been worn by water leakage in places so had to come out. After teasing the bolt out of the timber, a gentle - and I mean 'gentle' - tap with a hammer caused the nut to move and we were able to undo it by hand - not bad for something that was put in place in 1794. You won't get one of these at your local DIY store.

My colleague, who is a bit of a blacksmith, said it was all a clever bit of blacksmithery, because apart from the threaded section, the rest of the bolt is square section. The timber itself is a baulk of pitch pine which has retained the strong smell of its resin.
It's always my fault - SWMBO

So impressed by all this talk about porridge I had some for my tea and will have a portion every day until thursday next week.I then expect to be a fit lad who has lost a few pounds. Not the end of the world making it with water but it needs a lot of honey to make it moreish!! Sailed with a lad from Glasgow who put loads of salt in his breakfast porridge every morning, at least i didn't have to treat him for heat stroke. Up the Persian Gulf in the middle of summer it was always the Indian or Pakistani crew who came down with heatstroke first, the Brits rarely got it.

It was broken off virtually flush with the gum, nowt she could do with it.
She had to drill holes in it for purchase.

Just watching School for Secrets on Talking Pictures TV. 1946 film about radar and Gee etc with all the usual suspects, David Attenborough, Ralph Richardson, 'Private Fraser' , David Tomlinson and no doubt lots of other well known actors. Quite humorous too.

Afternoon folks. No exercise for 6 months. My ankles buggered 'er knee buggered. Decided on a new exercise routine. A swift early morning walk. Walked along the lagoon that we normally sail along for 1hr 10 mins. A lot of soft sand, now my back is buggered.
You’re definitely entering the ‘shipwreck’ stage of life Sah. I think I should send you over a few bottles of Yousef’s tonic. 3 glasses a day and you’ll feel much better in no time! :)

Used to have bowl of salt tabs on the table in the Mess when I was there. Fainting due to lack of salt was a chargeable offence - self inflicted injury.
