Might be fruitless I have the impression that he was alone except for offspring who might not get/access/read his mail.

I hate it when peeps just disappear.

Hopefully it's just a long temporary absence and not the permanent job.

Overcast here but fairly pleasant; 20C.
Grass has been mown and Arran Piper spuds planted in bins hopefully to produce a crop for Christmas time.

Thankfully it's fairly law abiding around here and on the odd occasion we've gone to the supermarket and left the
front door wide open, nothing was nicked. Never see a policeman in the village although we do of course get the odd
radar checks to drum up funds for the Police Ball. That said we do get frequent sightings of armed coppers in the Coop
buying their lunch. I assume they come down from the airport.

Chicken Alfredo for lunch. Already prepped so I can go to the pub for an hour first.

Bloody hot here again. Humid also. Just had my last pizza chorizo for months at the lovely Sylvia's restaurant.

And relax, computer problems. G-CPTN is fine. Just sent him an e-mail aimed at Capt Slasher by mistake.

Very low water here and w@nkers taking boats up the lagoon with hippos just under the surface.

Should be a rule that in case of death, members must give one week's notice. :-\

The company I worked for after I left the RAF re-wrote their staff Ts&Cs which must have been published without being proof-read. Under the section "Notice periods", the 'erbert wot wrote it, had worded it exactly in that way.

Company went bust.

Morning folks, too busy cancelling credit cards and passports. Changing pin numbers and passwords, buying new mobile phones and sim cards. Going to immigration to get new residency papers and police for letters of authority. Couldn't give a stuff about the cost it is all such a pain especially from here. Our official address for any financial matters, for obvious reasons, is Greece. So everything has to be sent there and couriered on. A two minute smash and grab job is going to take weeks to sort out.

Got to go into town again. Usual weather. Lagoon going down and down every day. If this dries up the hippos are going to have to move at least 60 kms away to the nearest other water. They will do this. That will involve them going through the town :-o

OMG. In Spain used to be special counters dealing with theft. So common. But if you are resident elsewhere - who isn't ?! - very difficult. I copy everything. Copies in paper and electronic form scattered around in safes and different houses and countries.

My previous employer in Frascati had a safe room where staff could lodge private papers. Then thieves broke in and stole the lot. Can't win.

Afternoon. HKG is still **** with the locals wrecking everything but it's not so bad lately. 31C but not too humid for a change. I hate this frigging city. If it wasn't for me 'shine and the odd Glamis I'd've packed it in and left.

Our home continues to get Nature's odd spray but only enough to settle the dust. My man at the TAF shop in BKK says not to expect any substantial thunderies up our way till sometime next month. I asked him if he could do anything provisional for Maun Botswana but replied he'd have to find out where the place is first. Told him not to bother.

Meanwhile I've been just hit with a ton of LOFTs for the next 10 days of 4h sim duration each, due to an equally high tonnage of destructors who are staying away at home in their respective countries due to the present sh!t going on. This not only means a great pay packet this month but also I'm dealing with trained and qualified 319/320/321 crews. What takes up my time though is making sure I don't mix up the SOPs between different outfits.

I'm doing two crews this evening ( 2 x 4h seshes) so it'll be a long night. And they're from two different airlines. Including the pre-briefings, coffee breaks and post-briefs it's a 12 hour night total.

Been raining, me lock restoration site will be like the Somme this morning.

Been to see nursey for me flu-jab. Before I got the needle in me arm, nursey said they have been directed by high-ups to ask people of a certain age if they have memory issues.

I though a bit and jokingly said "What was the question again?"

Not a wise thing to do until she realised I was just joking when I told her if she got uppity, I would forget to send her a birthday card next week. "Oh!" she said with a smile, "You remembered, no problems then."

Now where have I put me trousers? :-\

I have so many copies I struggle to find the originals :)

Today's activity not determined.

If I was nearer I would make up the numbers, it's just too far.

Mrs OFSOs (German) doctor very disparaging about flu injections. Might as well inject saline solution for all the good they do. Wrong strain, out of date, stored incorrectly....
