Sahf Murricane sugarwater, I'll bet.Pontius Navigator wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 3:12 pmUP, you inspired me to look at two small jars of supermarket honey. No idea why we carry it all the way from Grantham when it is available down the road.
You're quite right, "packed in UK".
Snot honey.
(*)It's not honey at all.

I keep a jar of supermarket runnyhunny for glazing ham, or for some chinese recipes. MrsP has beekeeping friends and family, so we have proper honey, all from a few miles down the coast. Superb.

Morning all, a slightly cooler day in prospect here, seems we're only going to get up to about 26C. Bittersweet day today, last day with all the puppies as we say goodbye to some of them tomorrow and then more as the week progresses. They are getting to the stage where they need more attention than we can give them as a group, which makes it easier to let them go, but it's still the hardest part of raising a litter.

Re: The really boring and totally pointless snippets thread IV
Not a honey story but Mrs C16 forgot to remove a bag of lemons from her stored weekly supermarket delivery. So instead of them going into a G&T she used the excess to make some Lemon Curd. Superb! I shall never buy supermarket Lemon Curd again.
Tip: Slice lemons and freeze them. They're ready for the next G&T...but you knew that already, didn't you!

Supermarket stuff is like flavoured Vaseline, I use a Nigel Slater recipe and add an extra Lemon for a tang, must do it again when Lemons are back on the trees.

One of the pups from one of our early litters became a snappy little tartar. The new owner brought her round to be stripped. Yes, she was nasty. She was shjt in the kitchen with Mum 5 minutes later all sorted!G-CPTN wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 4:33 pmHave you ever held 'reunions'?llondel wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 4:27 pmBittersweet day today, last day with all the puppies as we say goodbye to some of them tomorrow and then more as the week progresses. Our curent dog also goes back to her breeder. She loves to visit. Her mum is disinterested but her dad likes to see her. Probably more keen on incest than familia reasons.

We got to meet Tesla's firstborn earlier this year, three years after we last saw him as a puppy on his way to his new home. He was a bit pushy and she parented him, he backed right down and behaved himself.Pontius Navigator wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 8:14 pmOne of the pups from one of our early litters became a snappy little tartar.
