Morning all.

There is a stiff windblowing. However it's 20c presently and a high of 30c suggested later.

There used to be a Pink Panda bar in Fuengirola.

....and then they just kept coming TGG.....there was a time, long ago, they were probably seen as exotic...now more of toxic introduced species.

Funnily enough.....they refuse to apply for Australian citizenship, strut around as 'Proud Kiwis' and then when they are convicted of their crimes cry foul when they are sent to NZ.....they haven't worked out the bit about not living a life of crime.. 8-|

Oddly enough I received a message last night from somebody who applied for Australian citizenship at the end of last year, other than a confirmation that the application was received they have heard nothing and there's no information as to where in the queue they are.

Morning all,
clear, 21˚guess 27˚ we haven't been over 22˚ and with a really cold wind off the sea last two days.
Flat calm today.

Regrettably have a need to go to Nerja this morning, Blue Oyster sweet chilli sauce and their Lidl for dog chews, our Lidl has been out of stock for a week.
Can't do without it seems.

Yes, odd indeed, are they known to you?

....... =)) ....well actually no, Big Business continue to lobby the Government to raise the amount of imported labour to ensure wages stay artificially low, and private sector bonuses high...

Morning folks. A bit of a miserable day again. Cloudy and cool but not windy. Three instructions to our chap this morning. Put fuel in genny, start it and turn on the pool pump. All too much we didn't turn on pool pump. Now he is just about to leave without watering the veg garden. Well he can do unpaid overtime.

Our project manager was supposed to be here today to continue with the fence. He was working with someone who tested positive yesterday so had to go for a test himself today. I told him I do not care about the result I do not want him here sooner than next week.

Now he is trying to go home without watering the veg. I told him just 10 mins ago and he said he forgot.

Ah!, Ex!....do as I do, glass of vino in left hand, hose in right hand enjoy the peaceful scenery as you water it yourself! :)

Or maybe that is just me.....I love watering the garden, very enjoyable as the Sun goes down sipping a pre dinner drink .... as the lorikeets head home, the butcher birds scurry off & the magpies make their final evening survey of invertebrates hiding in the lawn... :) All whilst enjoying the beautiful fading light of the day... :)

Fliegs it is a bit of an operation here involving getting pretty wet with the irrigation system and starting pumps and things. His family get the majority of the produce he needs to be more punctilious. I will tell his mother tomorrow that he is not. He has just left running 25 mins late.

Although I'm a Scottish person, I was educated in schools which produced an accent which is oft mistaken for English. In my yoof I simply wasn't exposed to the lowlands dialect known as Lallans. I remember the communicational difficulties I had with my labourer(s) thirty or forty years ago. Until you get your ear in, it's almost as incomprehensible as the Doric. OK, I exaggerate, but not by much.

A chum send me this clip of a Yorkshireman trying to understand an Oxfordshire teuchtar. Different dialect from my man, but an identical problem.

Listening to Gerald is bit like learning to hover in a helicopter, the more you think about it, the less likely you are to get it right. As soon as I stopped thinking about his accent, I started to understand what he was saying. Funnily enough the head honcho at the heli outfit where I am learning is called Gerald but he is very posh sounding indeed! =))

Oh yes, I see...here it is somewhat more easily done...

Though over our back fence there are 3 bores, each cost about $7K, one for each of the very large blocks there, $21k in bore water that is so low in salt it is all good for watering gardens...I think they go close to 50m deep. We are kind of small valley in elevated terrain, above the coastal plain, but only 7km to the Ocean.

I am not sure of the operation of the bores, they all seem to have an electronic component, and what appears to be an inverted rubbish bin over another part...?

We have a bore over our back fence, and his wife too.

The 'Government' was today between 13:00 and 14:00, testing an alert system which would supposedly cause your mobile (Android only) to emit a "siren-like noise" to warn of threats such as fire, explosion, terrorist attacks, or the Health Secretary telling the truth. (I phone owners not included as they arere of course immortal, as Apple keeps, telling them) . Did anyone hear it?
