I said down by 90%, love. If the Okavango River flows are going to be comparable then the delta and swamp are not going to be nice places to be in the near future. Might be more reminiscent of the salt pans at Etosha.

Yes, one suspects they would have been called the Maisie From That Pub In Dudley Falls, or similar almost forgettable personage.

I know you did, I just couldn't get my head around that low number which is quite clearly correct! :)

The drought which has been prevalent for some years now, shows no sign of abating, if it goes on then yes, the area will start to look like the Etosha Pan or worse...

Morning all. Commiserations to those suffering adverse weather conditions - it's rather nice here this morning. Clear blue sky, bright sunshine, temperature +3.5C and absolutely no wind. The only reason the trees are moving is the number of birds queuing up for their turn on the feeders.
We (i.e. SM) didn't wake up until 09:00 and I then fired up the Teasmade for a cuppa before even thinking about getting up. The result is that we didn't even start breakfast until about 10:30. I nipped out to check the water meter - yes, it's still there, so I took the monthly reading as I always do just to check that there are no leaks and that United Utilities get their readings, and thus my bill, for the next 6 months correct(ish).

I think lunch will be a tad late...

Maybe should be renamed as Prince Andrew Falls.

Could be the other one, the thespian, Edward? He was always a bit of a drip!

Bloody hell Capt did we need you here this afternoon. Nutty next door neighbour brought around a friend. Also Dutch we think, in a bikini top, big boobs wanting advice on a medical problem with one of her boobs. I said no problem, strip off but apparently she wanted to see nursie. I explained that we have a forum where we have experts on boobs. I also explained that I was even an amateur gynecologist if she had problems down there. But no. I was left outside with the nutter whilst nursie took her inside. Now working my way through the CCTV footage.

Watching the flypast before the start of the Dubai Grand-Prix, it appeared that a A330(?) drifted from port to starboard under a A380(?) whilst they were being followed by some little jets chucking out coloured smoke. Obviously camera distortion of the distances involved comes into play but wouldn't that be a bit risky anyway, especially given the location?

I recognise that Alison has closed the Prince Andrew thread. This post is intended for information and not gossip.

Tiday , 1 Dec, there is nothing about Prince Andrew but pages on the London Bridge atrocity.

In contrast, the first 10 pages of the Daily Wail is devoted to the Prince with a red banner, WORLD EXCLUSIVE.

In my defence, I only counted the pages and haven't seen if they cover the London Bridge incident.

If all bad dogs behind good wheels had long flappy white furred ears we would probably be in a good place.

Morning folks.
A bad night for brass monkeys. Currently -1C and CAVOK.

Sausage sarnie for breakfast when I wake up sufficiently.

I expect the relevant CCTV footage to be emailed post haste to me for my private pervi official inspection.

Maybe I can be included in this email to submit a pre-assement and help Slasher.

Maybe we need to run a seminar, a refresher for me actually, on how to really focus on big ones without getting caught.
