Clear blue sky. Probs with the power this morning. Tried to run the pool pump on batteries whilst I topped it up after weekly treatment. System crashed at 70%. I was sure that this new system could go down to 30%. Genny running! Also computer is playing up. The battery will not charge above 92% and crashes when you take the power off which it did of course when our system crashed. I need 1kW of solar power to run the pool pump. Should get it by 09.30.

Sunrise over Squiffy Pussy III this morning.

Looks beautiful,. Can't wait. Can you please sabotage producers of JB noise!

Re computer. Switch off, remove battery, wait, and replace. It worked with one of mine when I had same problem.

Morning. Sadly I can't match that photo of the dawn from Ex-A but it's not a bad start to the day here.
+6C and mainly blue sky. should get up to 11C later before the rains arrive late evening.

Had a very traumatic experience yesterday. I was at the hospital most of the day as a "patient" for the
final year medical students to poke about with as part of their final exams. I was the renal guinea pig
provided to have his abdomen pummelled by 17 eager young things. One would-be doctor was an extremely
attractive young lady who brightened up the day until reporting her finding to the examiner she started out
with:-

"Mr Handsfree, an ELDERLY gentleman of 63............"

I'm a broken man. [-(

Congrats on your new status Octo. :-bd

Another lovely sunny but cold day in London. Air nice and fresh. Despite being near the centre our street is pollution free. Probably all the trees help.

I think as I have mentioned before Cape, can't get to them.

Thanks for the tip. Just going to the safari camp up river so will turn it off then.

Trusting farts Cap'n Slasher when you've been taking yer @r$e for a pee? That's a very brave thing to do.
Yer right 'stacker but I've been taking Imodium (what was once known as Lomotil) and there are 3 stages to recovery using it:

1. Uncontrolled ****
2. Uncontrolled dry farting
3. Bug and pain removal.

I'm presently a stage 3 patient. Me and Ap cant figure how I got the bug. Maybe I peed in the sink and washed my hands in the dunny bowl after a wee overload of 'shine during the recent War.

No shine if you have a stomach bug my flatulent friend. Those gut bugs just dine out and grow fat on the sugars in beverages like Southern Comfort and Shine etc.!

Rest, water, maybe an isotonic energy and salt replacement drink to keep hydrated and maintain your electrolytic balance, perhaps some lightly mashed ripe banana, blues music and feeling sorry for yourself is the ticket Slasher!

If not isotonic then get your head around this isochronic tone and trip out for the day. Even if it doesn't do a thing, it may at least block out the sound of the flatulence! =))

Move over Timothy Leary, Caco is back in town and it is all going binaural man.

Music of the stomach bug damned...

Is that a web of conspiracy regarding chemtrails?

No, I hate conspiracy theories. Just shows how busy the skies are around here on a beautuful sunny day.

Just got back from the safari camp. The current group is Cape Town to Vic Falls ending Johannesburg. 24 days on the road in a truck. :(( 14 girls and one chap :-bd Trouble is he brought his girl friend with him. Nothing of interest for you Capt. In fact not the best Scandi group I have seen.

Pre lunch beer by the pool.

It didn't work Cape. Took the battery out for 30 mins then still switched off I left it on charge for 2 hrs. Still only 92%. Haven't tried taking off mains power yet to see if it crashes again.

An incredibly mild and pleasant sunny day for a Scottish February - expecting a heatwave of 16C on Thursday. I'll believe it when it happens.

Just back from my annual eye tests. All good - cataracts and macular degeneration have remained stable over the last 12 months, no measurable deterioration.

The good, the bad and the ugly.

Woody (the good chap), Johan (ultra marathoner and ex SADF special forces guy) and Caco (occasional pain in the arse) meet up in Cape Town!

G'day,
just achieved 17, it will soon start to cool. Cloudy.

I'm taking SM to the Optham eye doctor soon to find out what he proposes and how much it will cost.
One is braced.

Bracing myself for trouble tomorrow. MtMM is very much an outside mog but he's booked in for some dental work first thing on thursday. That means no food from tomorrow evening, and he can't go out in case he eats something small and squeaky. (Anaesthetic). I predict much grumpiness when he finds (a) no food on plates, (b) a locked catflap, and (c) a litter tray. The joys of pets.

Just ordered six months supply of Boots retina support tablets. £25 off the bill as 'large' order. Very happy with that. Paid a small portion of today's lunch bill. Well, at least Mrs OFSO's Negronis.

Had a grand plan to head up to Franschhoek, have lunch and then head back via Franschhoek Pass, unfortunately this was closed due to bushfires and lots of activity by G-Man’s ZA colleagues :-bd . Day got worse when I went and bought a case of Savannah Light low alcohol cider :ymsick:

Oh dear Woody. Just keep it at the house for guests. Drivers may appreciate it others may not notice.

Standard day. Getting a little cool in the mornings. Just about to start watering. Got to try to put the house sign back up today after it came down with the fallen trees. A real shame we lost that natural arch.

I think that this computer, which hasn't been right from the beginning is just about finished.

OFSO, are the tablets similar to MacuShield? MrsP is considering them as both her Mum and Mum's Mum developed macular degeneration (and both died from [unrelated] oesophageal cancer).
