Morning folks. We have done American house sitters never again. This year we have left our staff in charge supervised by the managers of the safari camp.

Capt they never told me what happened to MY chair. I do not want to ask. Anyway in MY place with uncomfortable chair and breakfast beer. Just off on morning walk.

Freezing but clear skies.

Back from renewing Mrs IB's driving licence. Took 20 minutes and €35 fee.

Hello playmates :-h Spring has finally sprung on the Gulf of Mexico. Warm days and cool nights. Making the most of it before the mozzies find out and make it a living hell.

Garden is in full swing. Have redone all the flower beds, well as much as wonky knees and a dodgy lower back allow. Getting old is not for wimps! Last day of our kitchen reno. We have had a new floor put down and our cabinets refinished. I haven't been able to find anything for the last week and the kitchen looks like the Somme. All the cabinet contents are piled up around the house. On the plus side, I haven't had to cook for a week. Hubs appears to be enjoying that-I have obviously inherited my cooking skills from my mother. :(

I see lots of newbies have joined up since I last posted. Belated welcome all ya'll :-bd

Good to see you back LG! :-bd

On Sunday I shall do my best to woo Caco back to the forum when we meet for lunch in Perth - Scotland that is, not Oz.

Been in contact with Caco as well, egg beating is going well, can you let him know what model of remote control you need C16 :D
When all else fails, read the instructions.

Caco said you had mentioned my remote control woes to him, Woody! Fortunately I had kept the two previous ones which Dexter Dog destroyed so am in the process of combining all three into one serviceable item....I hope...

I'm looking forward to the day when Caco can land an R44 in my fields. He can stay the night and we'll sink more than a few beers putting the world to rights.

I've bought 'Sony' TV remotes from here.
And I'm happy with them & their speed of delivery.
You should do even better in the UK.

ian16th - thanks for that. I did buy a spare some time ago when I found a good price but it will amuse me I can resurrect one of the three. It is Easter Monday after all! I think it's going to end up looking like one of Fred Flintstones though.....

Bloody 'puter has been playing up for the past few days and kept refusing to accept my password. For some reason it has started working again without me using applied physics in the shape of a lump hammer.

Damn hot on me canal today but kindly Mr Whippy man gave us free 99s. :-bd

May I also say 'Welcome back' to Mme LG. :YMHUG:

Very heavy and feels like a stormy thing coming on in London. Ate too much at Fischer's. Good but pricey. Welcome back from Limbo Mme L G.

Tried several times to re-boot but to no avail. Today, booted the machine and it has worked perfickly. Mrs 4ma's i-Pad also had invalid password issues with Hotmail as well, although senior daughter managed to sort that one out.

Keeping me fingers crossed that the wiggly amps will behave themselves.

I add my welcome to Mme LG.

A slight cough and I am concerned it would be worst.
