TB what have you done to Fox3 :-o
I've not done anything with Mr Fox unfortunately ;))). He's been busy with house renovation, dealing with nor'easters, weather bombs, floods, critter invasion and so on. It's a quiet life in the back of beyond. :D
Here's a picture of us from this summer to be going on with:

That’s good to know, it’s not like him to not post for so long, thought it was the Ex-a’s who had problems with nature :D

Drinking lots and lots of water helps to dilute and flush out the bug, Mr Ricardian. And right, absolutely no medicament until the last contaminated cc has left the body, and then a small glass of some single malt. Such infected guts happened to me only once and I shudder to remember the consequences of all orifices being in use simultaneously. Like being a human Catherine wheel.
A quiet day, mostly spent in bed. Have been drinking lots of water and this evening managed some soup & toast. Hoping for a quiet night.

Cracking .morning but one is not too sharp. 1/4 slice of toast in 48 hrs. Dizzy and knackered. Couldn't sleep because of cramps. and lack off alcohol. Been told to take it easy today. I think if was all the rushing around with guests for 2 weeks, and late nights and loads of booze wot did it.

I't a joint decision Capt. We both go dry. Really not a problem just boring. Instead of my breakfast beer on the desk here now I have a bottle of water :((

Also quite happy to go into a bar and have folk drink around us.

Fair enough sah. I couldn't do it meself. A day or two perhaps but not a whole month.

I was once bet the Baht equivalent of 150 US bucks that I couldn't go a whole week (168 hours by the clock) without touching any poison. I lasted 4 days (at the 93hr mark). Caught sneaking just a single lousy beer at a pub in town. Drinking can be expensive.

Moonshine time! 🥃

Morning.

Lovely day to sit outside a bar again and people watch.

Son finally gets to see pain specialist this afternoon.

Whilst on the subject of beer, have bought a new one to try this morning, Guinness Nitrogen IPA.

Morning all,
Nice day over here too after the mist has burnt off.

It's the day of the eye specialist today, much later 1700 or so. I will report in the sick bay.
I have a whole day of nerves to endure.

Yesterday SM was taken to the Dentist with a mouth infection (gums). All sorts were prescribed, gel, mouthwash and an antibiotic.
Antibio was a member of the Flagyl family and as such would produce an allergic reaction. (and no alcohol.
Back to dentist and thence Pharmacy for a replacement. Duly issued and money back on the old one ! unusual here that is.

Seems that the mouth is very sore this morning which just adds to the general bonhomie.

Good day to you all.
An excellent bit of weather with us here today.

A busy day at Handsfree Towers. The Renal Nurse has set upon me and had an armful.
Today was the 6 weekly set which includes Hepatitis and HIV. Heaven knows what they think I get up to if I need to be
tested for HIV every 6 weeks. It was also time for my 6 monthly catheter line change which just involves unscrewing the
last section of the line and replacing it with a brand spanking sterile one. Also got him to administer my monthly jab
to encourage red blood cell growth. It always seems to hurt if I do it myself.

Now awaiting the arrival of the new dishwasher and man (or woman Stan) to install it.
Could have installed it myself but he (or she) takes away the old machine at the same time.

All the best to those suffering from human frailties at present.

Don't forget - this is beginning to look like the medical thread where we were all told such postings should go. Best of luck to all those suffering.

I'm in undeservedly robust good health. So much so that I'm off to climb my local steep hill just because I can and ought to.

It's a tiddler, but it's bloody steep and takes me 32 minutes of hard huffing and puffing to get up there.

EGPH 131220Z 26015KT 9999 SCT025 11/06 Q1011, so vis is cracking and there will be a bloody good view to be had from the summit.

Sunset isn't until 16:11, so Tanqueray will remain in bottle until a minute or two thereafter.

Speaking of 'elf I extended me run smorning to 1hr 10min. In this colder wx I'm obviously gettin' more oxygen gleeblies per chestful of air. A quick calc of ISA dev x 120 shows a decrease of 1,100 ft in the usual DH at dawn. Splains the burst of athleticity I spose.

The missus relented and gave me a full-on feed for dinna which comprised a thick steak with the usual yummy trimmings and accoutrements. Home made apple pie and custard topped off the delish of the repast. 😋

Much better than the rabbit tucker we've been having since we got back from the bush.

Tomorrow's a full day with the gardener and getting estimates for the planned gazebo out back. There's shopping that Ap needs me to do as well as some gnomes that need killing dead. I might drag out the old Enfield .303 for this purpose. Haven't fired it in anger yet since coming back from the Gulf.

Lead - ah yes. I was staying up in a YHA house up north in the UK, where the warden decided to cast some lead weights for his wetsuit. He carved a mould out of wood, but sadly it was not quite dry when he poured the lead in. Quite amazing how far molten lead travels when poured into a wet mould. As it was the YHA kitchen it didn't matter too much, and we were all young and fit and able to turn our backs towards the splashy metal and laugh as we picked the microscopic globules out of our skin.....

Here they use the lead from old car batteries. Not sure of the safety aspect there. Hate to think what they do with the acid.

Got a hot water system prob here. Mrs Ex-Ascot has just lounged in a bath full of sand.
Looked like brown windsor soup.

And a very fine day it has been here at the eastern edges of the known world (East Norfolk).
Had a nice game of golf with my Tuesday buddies, and did not play too badly (except for 2 holes :(( ) on my home course which is the most easterly in the UK. Guess where?
