Oneupmanship. I’d enjoy seeing the bloody leftists buggerising around trying to PCerise that! :))

Same with Airmanship and Marksmanship. Penmanship would be another.

Hagar, Horrible the. A hard working vike who invades England on a regular basis. Pillaging castles a specialty. Surprisingly, good friend of Sir Knight when they meet up at the local grog shop.

Tea, high. Usually had after 5pm. No one drinks tea as this tea is a heavy meal for the bleedin’ workin’ class innit. This is not to be confused with afternoon tea which is drunk along with scones or bickie nibblies. The lower classes and upperbuttcrackery of British society enjoy this activity. The Englanders shorten afternoon tea to just tea, whereas in Oz high tea is shortened to tea (aka dinna). So if you invite an Englishman and/or Englishmanwoman over for tea in Upper Galargambone West they might roll up a tad early at 2.30pm while the chook is still in the oven.

High tea is so called as it is taken at the table. Afternoon tea is taken on a small lounge room table of sorts so it could be logically called low tea.

However in both countries the kettle will be put on if a dear pops suddenly in for a quick visit with an “oo-oo!”

Sybarite - a person very fond of a bit of luxury, who probably likes to take afternoon tea with Lapsang Souchong brew and Bath Olivers to nibble. The chocolate covered variety of these are going a bit far, however ... :D

Very perceptive views of the social habits associated with tea-taking, Slasher ... :YMAPPLAUSE:
