The "power's that be ' are planning to build a new passenger terminal at Maun International Airport to add to the new very long runway and new control tower. Strange that the architect's drawings of proposed new terminal were removed from upstairs of the present terminal about a year ago.

Hopefully normal service has been resumed thanks to Maun International Airport

During WW2 in 1943, HMS Charybdis was sunk by German navy vessels with the loss of hundreds of British sailors. A number of their bodies were washed up on the shores of Guernsey, which was then occupied by the Germans, who allowed the Guernsey people to hold and attend a memorial service for their burial.
