Nice point: here it is even worst. There are no life contacts available any more just to the age of 65. After that you get a hugely expensive yearly contract.
Re: Rant of the Day v2.
As a change from wine I thought I would build up a small collection of malt whisky's.I ordered 3 bottles from the sons of morris to start off.One was not available so they substituted it with one that was already on the order. There were plenty of others they could have put in its place.Dickheads. This was my first order with Morrisons and it could well be my last.
Re: Rant of the Day v2.
There were 14 other malts they could have picked so I wouldn't have minded.I haven't tried many malts so its all a learning curve.

I take it, it was easier to up an order from 1 to 2 rather than choosing a new item.

It's worth looking at several supermarket and Amazon. I think ASDA had a cracking offer on Pimms, £12/l. Another discount was Bombay Sapphire. I think Amazon had the best Jameson price.

+1 It was easier not to be arsed to use a bit of that rare commodity, common sense.Rwy in Sight wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 8:32 pmI take it, it was easier to up an order from 1 to 2 rather than choosing a new item.

Provided the company allows employees to do so - rather than pushing them to increase sales and reduce time per customer.ribrash wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 8:31 am+1 It was easier not to be arsed to use a bit of that rare commodity, common sense.Rwy in Sight wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 8:32 pmI take it, it was easier to up an order from 1 to 2 rather than choosing a new item.

Remember, many will substitute at a higher price and charge the lower.

It is down to the company culture then.

Re: Rant of the Day v2.
My Canon TS8240 printer started printing rubbish, lots of missed colours. Indicating clogged nozzles.
This required several 'Deep Cleaning' cycles, that of course consume expensive ink.
I ended up changing 4 expensive ink cartridges, to get it printing right.
The only vaguely good news was that this Sunday afternoon, I always keep a full set of cartridges in the cupboard.

Re: Rant of the Day v2.
Gave up on Epson as cartridges dried out so fast. In contrast, didn't use my HP between February and end July. Printed perfectly....

Yea! I do believe that not enough use is a big part of the problem.
The ink simply dries and solidifies in the nozzles.

I don't know Epson but I think HP Park their cartridges which is one reason for shutting down the printer. Leaving it powered on also heats the cartridge. That said my GPid on most of the time and no problems.

Re: Rant of the Day v2.
Going away from the discounters and supermarket look-a-like branding of cereals etc Mrs PN bought plain red cardboard box, red fruit toasted rice and whest flakes with raspberries, stawberries and cherries fortified with vitamins and iron.
From Waitrose, what's not to like?
Just like the box, cardboard coloured and tastes the same. Just tried a piece flat red with seeds on, presume it used to be strawberry. Chewed it, it was like leather.
Hand it to the marketers and lawyers, label is spot on; it didn't claim to be delicious.

Emptied pool, Mme cleaned it (scrubbed it senseless) refilled it, and now it's leaking from a valve way below it. I presume the old water had masses of residue from three-in-one tablets which was blocking the leak. Now it ain't....p

Time to get some 'heavy water'?
Or, as vehicle manufacturer used to fit every radiator with a 'dog turd' (Bars leak sealant) - it saved having to check each vehicle for leaks and then have to rectify.

Strapped leak - it's where valve and pipe join - with guaranteed-to-stop-leaks-even-under-pressure self-annealing tape. Guarantee worthless.
