During my absence, Google Home has forgotten how to connect to tune--in and I can no longer get LBC or Classic FM.

Two days of wrestling with the Unconscionable C*nts of PayPal, lying thieving cheating rapscallions. Finally made payment with eVoucher from Amazon instead, took five minutes to enter details of recipients and five minutes for recipient to confirm payment. Wretched Pay Pal. How dare they !

OFSO, PP website is designed to make what is simple difficult. The easiest think in the world to buy something and impossible to sort things like addresses. They held two old addresses but would not delete them based on an email, fair enough. So I wrote; no reply.

Then I discovered I had a large credit on one account and a debt on the other. Cash payments from my bank were rejected. I then managed to get help and a ring back that worked. I was scared I was going to get some incomprehensible American accent. Imagine my surprise when I got a pleasant Irish woman who was both understandable and intelligent.

Funny but I tend to trust Scots and Irish people on the phone. I'm neutral to English but distrust the Welsh. How unfair of me !

The Welshman's dishonest, he cheats when he can
A little and dark, more like monkey than man
He works underground with a lamp in his hat
And he sings far too loud, far too often, and flat!

And crossing the Channel, one cannot say much
For the French or the Spanish, the Danish or Dutch
The Germans are German, the Russians are red
And the Greeks and Italians eat garlic in bed!

The English are moral, the English are good
And clever and modest and misunderstood

And all the world over, each nation's the same
They've simply no notion of playing the game
They argue with umpires, they cheer when they've won
And they practice beforehand, which ruins the fun!

The English, the English, the English are best
So up with the English and down with the rest!

It's not that they're wicked, or naturally bad
It's knowing they're foreign that makes them so mad!

For the English are all that a nation should be!
And the flower of the English are Donald (Michael)
Donald (Michael) and me!

I gave up with PP after my credit card expired.

I moved home address at the same time, and totally failed to get their system to do the 2 updates.

RiS dad's is a garlic eater and used to grow the garlic consumed himself. RiS grows onion and beans while he remains garlic free for most of the time. He wouldn't comment on his flu status as not to jinx it.

I love garlic. It needn't smell too much (for more than 24 hours ;))) ) if it is eaten when fresh...

Eaten raw it can be too much for some...

In Greece there is a local speciality named Skordalia - garlic sauce in a loose translation that is mainly offered with Cod fish on the National Day in March and on Palm Sunday. I do my best not to follow the tradition as a matter of fact it is prohibited for that meal to ever be served while I am around. I used to work at a company that offered lunch as a perk. I had instructed my boss not to arrange any meetings with me after lunch if he had consumed skordalia at lunch.

Skordalia makes me sick and I want to vomit although I am okish with having garlic cooked in a meal.

Bloody Squirrels! ~X( We've got one persistent pair who I have evicted from three nests (including one with babies in it) and planted tons of poison which they have eaten, but they are still alive and well. ~X(

Can vermin develop resistance to various poisons, as these squirrels seem to be thriving on the stuff. :((

Yes, wrong approach. Tame them, ginger nut biscuits. Then catch the buggers.
