That's it, Gare de Rochelle, incidentally this town and the two islands remained under German occupation until May 1945, heavily bombed prior to this because of the U boat pens, which are still there and were the location for "Das Boot" filmed as a series last year.
Well done, Capes to blow the whistle.

La Rochelle?
The less than salubrious suburb south of Johannesburg?

Used to get smashing prawns there, in a former police station/jail!

According to Google, its still in business.
Restaurante Parreirinha, 6th Street, La Rochelle, Johannesburg

Edited to add:

Still getting good reviews, BUT..........

Nasty earthquake north of Nîmes this afternoon. Probably caused by Notradamus turning over in his grave.

Isn't he buried in Salon de Provence? To the east of Nimes.

Sorry for delay, have been flying.

There is a name on the stonework above the door, which I have concealed. The building is an institute, and was the last abode of the academic whose name is above this beautiful door.

I'd say the Newton Institute but the building looks way too new to have a door like that.

The building is probably C18. It is not in an English speaking country, although it is in a country where many people speak good English.

Cape do you say it looks Cloggie or it is Cloggie, cos I can't find it in Cloggie land.

On the assumption that with that clue you are steering us towards Leiden, I am presuming that it is a university building there. Can't find it though.

First thought was that you could be referring to its founder William the Silent but it would seem that he lived in Delft.
