Good challenge. I was a bit confused by 'official government document' and was thinking 'why would it advertise Hertz.'
Well done Tango15.
I'd been vaguely looking at passports and so on but they would be French ones.

Very nice phone book.

I can imagine the howls if it was tried anywhere else but then it is 15+ years ago and I read that even French women are less often topless on their own beaches. :(

And now for something completely different.

Warkworth Castle in God's Own Country. Mrs 4ma and I stayed in the Sun Hotel to the right of the bend beside the castle.

Open the room curtains and there is the castle right in front of you.

Well done 4mast, thought you'd spot that one. Wasn't it the 'spare' castle for the Percy family?

Northumberland - one of the few things we miss. Anyway, over to you 'pet'! ;)))

There's plenty of spare castles up that way.

Anyway, here's somewhere furrin - meaning it's not in Newcassel or Gaytesheed.

What a magnificent building. I suspect a church or was once a church in Belgium or the Netherlands.

It was a church, but was converted to a "weigh house" in the 16 century, it is the weigh house for the cheese market held in Alkmaar, Amsterdam, it is called the "Wagg".

Bloody hell. Just seen it. Spent hours in there and the pub next door.
'Yes, Madam, I am drunk, but in the morning I shall be sober and you will still be ugly.' Sir Winston Churchill.

FD2 has it, it is Blackwells, it had a very distinctive "new book" smell when I used to frequent it as a kid.

FD2 on the crease.
