Re: The Smokin' Hot Where On Earth Thread Mk III
The 'inland' black rectangle might be a 'marina'.

Thank you.
Seeing we're doing aerial views, this should be easy for our two-winged sky-gods.

That looks as if it might be in Germany?...

Ja, alles ist in Ordnung! Could be NL.
I could kick myself for not getting the CPT one but those night satellite photos perplex me, specially when we don't know the orientation, and it's hard to know if the black bits are water or unpopulated and therefore unlit land.

Neither Germany nor Cloggieland. I gauge from your answers that you are in the approximate geographical area and on the right track.

Ooops, another square one dropped by me.......must read properly.....sack cloth and ashes being worn.
Tis Germany as suggested by Karearea . It is one of only three towns in Germany that still has a completely established city wall.

I have flown over that rag head place many times. Suez end of the canal.
Edit, looked it up but the port is Port Tawfiq. What the hell is a 'Tawfiq'?

I always knew it as Port Tewfik, but apparently it's now called Suez Port:

Re: The Smokin' Hot Where On Earth Thread Mk III
Who collects the toll for use of the canal?
Re: The Smokin' Hot Where On Earth Thread Mk III
Ex-Ascot has it!
Can't remember how the toll was collected (should have asked) but suspect the Grey Funnel Lines of the world owners are probably charged direct.

After the Suez crisis I think the pyramid builders. Used to fly with a Capt on The Queen's Flight who flew night fighters (type?) during the crisis. A few feet above the dunes He had a chest full of medals.
OK FD2 thank you, posts crossed. We seem to have been doing aerial challenges recently, don't think that we have ever done underground. I usually post places I have been to, this is an exception but amazing. I got this off a video but it does come up on image search so no cheating please.
