Correct once again. My parents lived in these condos, overlooking the marina. The sound of tapping on dozens of metal masts was very soothing.

No, the gates are at the entrance to docks. They drive on the right in this country.

The harbour beyond the gates is a regular port of call for large cruise ships.

The guns visible are two of six large guns (at least one of them 15" calibre) which point out to sea over the public road. They form part of a military museum housed in a nearby early 17thC castle built by the king at the request of local merchants to protect the port from pirates, who were often based in another continent.
