Thanks fin, it was an interesting challenge. I had a good rummage through Canadian/northeastern US border towns before I spotted the box office style windows and thought ah ha - a theatre! Found this article when I put in the building's function and date:

I thought that was an eagle but it is a falcon, at Sheffield Railway Station.

Correct om! I took this pic of Allen (geddit), the peregrine falcon commissioned to mark the opening of Sheffield's IKEA store in 2017, outside the railway station. He has now been moved to a spot on the UofS campus:

It is, I took the photo especially for this thread, it is pretty distinctive but I hadn't seen it before, I have another which will be presented in the fulness of time.
