The name of this town comes from Scottish Gaelic and is named after a Scottish city.

Yes, well found, that was quick, this is the Gas Museum at Dunedin in New Zealand, this is Gaelic for Edinburgh, the town has a very high percentage of Scottish immigrants.

Friends of mine emigrated there and when I visited about 15 years ago it was the most Scottish town that I’ve ever been to.

OH as I’m just going to zebedee land, due to ridiculously early shift tomorrow morning :((

The Robert Burns Mausoleum, St Michael's Churchyard in Dumfries. (I think it's had a paint job since I visited)

Initially thought it was one of those at Kew Gardens but will now go for the Wedgwood Museum, Stoke on Trent.

If confirmed then OH as I'm out for a while.

:-bd C16 It is the Wedgwood Museum at Barlaston, Stoke. It's well worth a visit to tour the factory (view the productIon from a lump of clay to hand painting the china) and view the amazing Wedgwood ceramic heritage collection which was saved for the nation by the V&A and others. Another pic:

Ok, I'll pick up the baton.

You could say the folks around this place used to have strange tastes.

I think we might have been here before, it is The Nibelung bridge in Worms with famous nibelung tower.

You are absolutely spot-on OM. The Diet of Worms wasn't some quaint protein-rich food-tasting session but an imperial assembly of the Holy Roman Empire called by Emperor Charles V.

Not Edinburgh, it is within the United Kingdom though. The building is Norman, the statue is of a German.
