The Smokin' Hot Where On Earth Thread Mk III
Re: The Smokin' Hot Where On Earth Thread Mk III
How about this one? Don't think I've offered this before. Scared the hell out of the first time I found myself on it, big drops either side and no guard rails.

Devil's Backbone?

No, different state. Correct country though.
ETA: Although I've found a clip which looks like it's that road with the Devil's Backbone attached. Not the name I know it by, and definitely not what the locals seem to call it. Seems to be multiple places in different states by that name, too. If you can add the correct state you can have it.

The red colour of the rocks reminds me of the Palo Duro Canyon area of Texas, but I don't recall the name Devils Backbone. The other area of red rocks , I think, would be Utah.
Looking.

4 Corners + Texas is as close as I can guess.
Been all over that area (mostly in the air) and a lot of it looks like that.

As it's looks nowt like The Snake Pass in the UK, dare I suggest The Hogback, Highway 12, Boulder, Utah?

Further thought leads me to somewhere further north, the Peak District, possibly the Edale valley.

I think it is the road up to Edale from the Blue John caverns, passing Mam Tor. OH if confirmed as nothing ready.

Those fells look very much like the landscape around the Lakes. I'd go for Wrynose Pass.

Well intercepted FD2 . Snake Pass it is. Probably the first road to be blocked when a snow flake falls in Derbyshire.
