Taint the Slasher Estates either.

It looked is a bit like it's somewhere in Oman.

Well it's not Ex-Ascot House that's for sure.
Even our thatch would not improve it.

Did the architect of that monstrosity intend it to look like two cruise ships crashed into the shore?

Gulf area?

Not a Trump hotel or golf course then.

Ex-Ascot is in the right area with his first reply.

Agreed, the architecture is not that brilliant but it is an hotel, so what do you expect?

We are looking at a crappy mass tourist place with no decent sand beaches otherwise they would not have built that thing there. Thinking.

Touristy certainly, but maybe not quite 'crappy mass tourist place'. Some culture and decent sights in the vicinity.

So we are talking some decent upmarket strip joints in the area. The Capt may know. He is the specialist.

At first I looked in the Lanzarote, Tenerife area due to the lava type rocky foreground, but if we are in the Med I am inclined to go for Morocco, Tunisia, or some other North African beach, I think that I have excluded Jordon, Israel and Lebanon, but has an Arab style to it.

None of the above. Not mainstream tourist whatever you may think of the architecture, but still well known and not many classy strip joints either.

You are close enough om15, the challenge was actually the Radisson Blu resort which is just edging into the top right of your picture, the Corinthia is 'next door'.

It was not a Radisson when the picture was taken, but can't remember what it was. Maybe a Hilton?

That challenge brought home to me just how much we have ruined the beautiful coastline of the Med, just over 20 years ago we stayed in a small fishing village in Create, nothing there but a couple of bars and a café selling fried sardines, I have found that they have now built a hotel there the size and shape of terminal 5.
I am off to Malta in a few weeks, but thankfully staying in a traditional hotel in Sliema, that hotel in the challenge looks like a high security prison.

here is an easy one for Sunday,

First thoughts are Netherlands or Belgium judging by the barge moored alongside the ugly building and the rather nicer buildings in the right background. Will start searching there.

Morning all.

Concentrating on the lightship leads me to think it may be the West Hinder light at Antwerp.

Found it!
Museum aan de Stroom, Antwerp, Belgium with the lightship Westhinder in foreground. A search of 'lightships Belgium' got me there.

Capt P beat me to it!

It is Antwerp, the rather distinctive Museum building was the main clue, nice easy start to the day, Puggie to the crease, well found
