I've seen that somewhere. Could a small thin clue be provided Cpt Wash sir? No need for a big fat one.

It looks vaguely familiar to me, I imagine somewhere UK south coast or possibly IoW or Jersey.

Jersey is closer, Cape , but it is not on an island.

Slash, we have been here before, but viewed from sea-level.

The area was briefly in the news for an ecological disaster in the early 80's.

It was called Dirty Port long before Amoco Cadiz dropped anchor here!

Not Carteret.

UP, not sure that is a direct translation, but it is the harbour of Portsall , in Ploudalmézeau which is a commune in the Finistère department of Brittany in north-western France. Portsall is known for the Amoco Cadiz oil spill. On 16 March 1978, Amoco Cadiz, a very large crude carrier (VLCC), owned by Amoco, split in two after running aground on Portsall Rocks, 5 km (3.1 mi) from the coast of Portsall, resulting in the largest oil spill of its kind in history to that date.
I have never been there, but I did receive a QSL card from there, following a radio contact on 27mHz during a sporadic-E opening in 1983. I was a few miles north of Ullapool in northwest Scotland at the time, so not a bad distance.

UP to bowl.

Evening all.

Assuming that this is vintage vehicle road run, and given that AE03OUP is currently was in the Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service reserve fleet, I will take a punt that it may have been photographed in Cottenham.

Edit; AE03OUP was disposed of in 2015, so could now be anywhere, many such vehicles are exported.

Further searching on the pub sign on the right indicates that it could perhaps be the Black Horse at Rampton.

Yup, that's the place. I used to live just round the corner.

April 2005, so it was a fairly new fire engine back then. My son had fun sitting in it while all the old vehicles were parked up on Rampton Green.
Over to you, Cpt P.

I said Co. Durham because long ago under the old vehicle index system, UP was Durham.
