Thank you Ex A, Bombay is a place where you can be in calm tranquil and peaceful surroundings one minute and the complete opposite the next.

Here is a challenge for those who venture off the beaten track and go to explore the remote and wild places,

Looks Nordic.

Not Nordic, however it is a place that does not always enjoy temperate climates, the language spoken by the inhabitants does lend itself to the human tongue.

Sorry, the above should read "does not lend itself to the human tongue."

This sculpture is of a worshiping optimist.

Looks like one of the heads from Easter Island on his break.

I just remembered where you went on holiday and you said you had another photo. Is that it?

It is, rather an incongruitous sight in Fishguard, particularly as the weather alternates between fog, drizzle, thick fog and heavy rain most of the time.
Well found, DBx at the crease.

Thx. This building has been derelict for about 15 years and was last used as a pub. Much of it dates back to at least the 16thC and is thought to have royal connections. Originally it was in a rural area but this is not now the case.

On checking on GE I can see there are at least 10 railway stations within 1.5 miles of this location (I may have missed some as well).

Purely out of curiosity, what prompted you to ask if there was a railway station nearby?

The eaves of the building behind the pub are reminiscent of railway stations - hence my question. There is a very good web-site -Disused stations- where such characteristics can be seen. The real clue was your mention of the number of close by stations and it was once a rural area with royal connections plus you mentioned GE( Google Earth) which I transposed into Great Eastern (Railway Company) which operated in Essex. It thus had to be a major city and Epping Forest (Royal connection) came to mind after I looked at a couple of maps.

OH declared as I'm going to be away from me 'puter for a couple of days.
