Yes, Taipei 101, as seen looking up from the viewing balcony. It was the tallest building in the world when I visited it.

OH declared.

I think that we are in Tobermory in Scotland. Bit cold up there this morning I should imagine.

I think both answers are correct. Tobermory for sure, I believe there was a TV progamme filmed there in which it was called Balamory.

I stopped off there on a cruise in September, and what an enjoyable day it was. Despite the grey weather, walked around, had a lovely sea food meal, bought a bottle of whisky from a Rhodesian lady at the distillery, and a hand made leather belt from leather craft shop in town. Also met a Brooklands Club member whilst admiring a classic car.

Is the mine a collection box for the RNLI?

One was used as such on Redcar sea front, yonks ago.
Dunno if it is still around.

I don't know the purpose of the mine, it may be a collection point, or possibly there to commemorate some event, I am not sure.
Something did happen here in the early 1950s which is still a talking point today.

There used to be one of those mine collection points for the RNLI on the prom at Worthing when I was a kid. However, this photo shows the sea front at Lynmouth, the site of the 1952 floods.

OH if confirmed.

Staithes. Cap’n Cook lived here for a while when he was employed as a shop assistant in the local grocers.

This is the view from the cliff top above the photo displayed. The pic was taken at the end of 2015 - apparently public access to this point is now prohibited because of the unstable nature of the headland.

Yep, Staithes @ Jimmy Cook, but not a shop assistant, he was an Apprentice Grocer.

The Greeks might have found something of interest here but the Egyptians would say they were first.

Hmm....no takers? One is then left with the dilemma of giving more clues which make it easier or letting it go for a bit. Screw it ...I’ll leave it running for a while.

Take a look at the small shed and it’s connection with the water. That should give some clue about the clues. And there can’t be too many of them about!

11 it would seem.

There is one of these about four miles upstream from me on the Stour.

Their are four in parallel in Grimsby, they lower the level of the River Freshney and pump it into Grimsby Alexandra Dock. I only know this because this week all four pumps ran together for the first time due to all the rainfall recently.,and it was reported on the news!!
