Not Tours, further north.
English tourists are drawn to this place for two reasons, separated by one thousand years.

You have it, I visited some time ago and explored the town, visited the CWG on the outskirts and viewed the Tapestry, despite being in France it is a lovely town.
Well done FD2, your turn to shoot.

A man in Geraldine, just south of Christchurch, has spent 25 years reproducing the Tapestry:

4M I am pretty sure that it is a free house. Excellent grub but not been there for a few years.

Edit, no. Just checked the list of Arkells pubs.

Cheshire isn't oop north!

The North of England is the area of the historic borders of:

Cumberland
Westmoreland
Northumberland
Co. Durham
Yorkshire
Lancashire.

Cheshire is in the Midlands.

Once it had been established as being in Cheshire a search of pubs in Cheshire produced it rapidly.

I had better declare OH as I am out for a meal shortly and tomorrow is taken up with returning to Taipei, so it will be a couple opf days before I can log on again.
