I liked the Tina Turner song but I was never a fan of Senna, genius of a driver that he was. He was simply too intense and lacking in soul, for all of his Brazilian Catholic angst.

If you want real motor racing music listen to this...

As a Kiwi you must know that Denny Hulme, tough as nails, who woudn't wince when burning swarf danced over his palms, cried and was totally disconsolate when Bruce McLaren hit that marshall's post at Goodwood.

I can't image Senna doing that for any man.

But with respect to the man and his motor racing genius, RIP Ayrton Senna.

I was contacted directly by another lurker here who knows me and pointed out that I was incorrect in this in that the day before he was killed Ayrton Senna was inconsolate when Roland Ratzenberger was killed...

I admit my error and maybe my misunderstanding of the man...
