No need to 'desist', but that was another TGA, presumably alcohol fuelled, barrage of videos in the small hours - including an irrelevant video about rugby - on a music thread? That went in the bin. 19 in 2 hrs 44 minutes!!?? (20 if you include the rugby).

I tend to agree with your assessment that the number of posts might have constituted a cacophony. I also perceive that my rugby post, might also have been the straw that broke the proverbial camel's back as it were, and that that the overall surfeit may have been as welcome to the moderator as that of lampreys (although the common lamprey is a fine fish when eaten in moderation).

It not being St Crispians day, I trust nonetheless that "gentlemen in England now a-bed", will rouse themselves this rather blustery Saturday and go about their business and I can only thank the moderator for his forbearance, good humour and Shakespearean allusions!

Dragons slain, demons demoted, I shall not attempt a musical post here today! ;)))
My necessaries are embark'd: farewell. Adieu! I have too grieved a heart to take a tedious leave.

Who is asking you to go 'without music'? That is a totally stupid comment. Why do you post these videos?
Because I love music and wish to share music with those few gentle folks here who also share their tunes and appear to like music. That said, I get where you have a point when it comes to the long night of the demon crazed mind of TGA, and am apt not to aggravate you, or any other curmudgeon, who feels threatened by a surfeit of the Beelzebub's tunes in the same way that some might feel threatened when a monkey starts playing with an AK47!

Thus I ask that in the same way that physicists invented the notion of the "Dirac"
" Paul Dirac was known among his colleagues for his precise and taciturn nature. His colleagues in Cambridge jokingly defined a unit called a "Dirac", which was one word per hour"
we might define an acceptable "Caco" based upon the simple formula of acceptable Music Posts/Unit of Time. While, presumably Paul Dirac's colleagues wanted more "Diracs", there are those here that want less "Cacos". So be it!

Defining this ratio would be most helpful and might set a useful empirical limit that might suit all parties here. ;)))

Two's company and three's a crowd, but 3 is prime, and this is my last one, not prime, but with reason tonight!

This one is for a certain chap who I know occasionally dallies here, and who is suffering badly at the moment!

'Cacos' already defined - one post every 8 hours. Also I assume you are not aware that this limit would affect only you - 'all parties', in reality.

I know that
those few gentle folks here who also share their tunes and appear to like music.
- few indeed is the word. All - myself, unbelievably, included - would be more than content.

Follow the admirable restraint exercised by, for example, Karearea or Wodrick.

Have been thinking lately about these songs from that era, was thrilling to hear them for the first time:

Substitute - The Who [2:52]

My Generation - The Who [3:27]

And with the morn, those angel faces smile...

I didn't ask if one earns compound interest here, but who really cares with these perfidious English, who make it up as they go on, in their own self important, but totally diminished way...

Verses 1
We are transcendent, here on the Trans Karoo
All the way from Fort Beaufort to the Transkei coast
We get a little mental, from politics and pencils
We are on our way to taste the wide Worcester world

Chorus
Trans farmer, the journey lies ahead
One foot in the past, two eyes looking forward
Trans farmer, my brother lives in Paraguay
Sister lives in London
But I catch fish in cat river, and I must say it feels bad, yes

Verses 2
Drink too much warm beer in Zulu's Bar, London Town
But rain and speaking too much English always gets me down
On trans-European train, gray landscape flashes by
I dream of sun on Free State grass
If I drive to Craddock

Chorus
Trans farmer, the journey lies ahead
One foot in the past, two eyes looking forward
Trans farmer, my brother lives in Paraguay
Sister lives in London
But I catch fish in cat river, and I must say it feels bad, yes

Verses 3
From Zimbabwe and Mozambique
Rush south across the borders
With transactions and with transport
Through the fences, the people climb
My mates take the road
On Boeings and on ships
But I remain a trans farmer here
Dance through thick and thin for better

Final Chorus
Trans farmer, the journey lies ahead
One foot in the past, two eyes looking forward
Trans farmer, my brother lives in Paraguay
Sister lives in London
But I catch fish in cat river, and I must say it feels bad, yes
Yes, sunset in the cat mountains, and I must say it looks beautiful, yes
My necessaries are embark'd: farewell. Adieu! I have too grieved a heart to take a tedious leave.

“I love music. For me, music is morning coffee. It’s mood medicine. It’s pure magic. A good song is like a good meal-I just want to inhale it and then share a bite with someone else.”
