TGG:
Thanks for Creep.
Hadn't heard this version, very good.
I like Post Modern Jukebox's version best.

Look at videos of Haley Reinhart and Casey Abrams.
I have seen them with Post Modern Jukebox. They are both great.
Also, look at the chewing gum commercial they did.
While you are looking around check out Scott Bradlee's solo stuff. He is a really fine pianist and also a great arranger.

I have only recently started to appreciate some of the good folks you mention. I take it that you have seen, unlike me, them live...
I shall seek, I shall strive and listen more widely...

First time I saw them was in a cabaret setting (<500) and stood at the corner of the stage next to his piano.
Next, at a converted movie theater, with a college crowd.
Third time, no Scott Bradlee, just Post Modern Jukebox in a 4,000 seat hall. The shows follow the same formula, an MC, band and a rotation of singers, solo and together.
Before the Pan(dem)ic they had two or three shows touring at the same time worldwide.
Looking forward to when live music returns!

If you ever get over here, the tickets and London meals, at good restaurant(s), not associated with the music venue, are on me, at two venues (sadly shut at the moment), namely Ronnie Scott's and Anywhere But the Blues behind Hamley's Toy Shop in Kingley Street...

Re: What Song Is Your Current Soundtrack?
The last video posted above is typical of his early productions. One fixed camera and done in one take, no editing.
He eventually had to leave as the commotion, including tap dancing, got to be too much.
He and his troupe went to California and bought a large secluded house to live in and do videos in. They also did some videos on location as well.
His book is a n easy but good read.

Re: What Song Is Your Current Soundtrack?
Sea Fever
BY JOHN MASEFIELD
I must down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by;
And the wheel’s kick and the wind’s song and the white sail’s shaking,
And a grey mist on the sea’s face, and a grey dawn breaking.
I must down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide
Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;
And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,
And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying.
I must down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life,
To the gull’s way and the whale’s way where the wind’s like a whetted knife;
And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover,
And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick’s over.

The Koss was such a great guitarist too...
