Not normally a poster here, but came across this on the other site:
I have to say that I have seen Mark Knopfler and his band play a few times, from Dusseldorf in 1981 all the way through to Salt Lake City 4 years ago, and he gets better with age. I suspect he would approve of this as his band plays multiple instruments and excellent live.

As a great MK fan, great guitarist, but I thought the singer a little too 'stark' for the song? Overall a lovely production. Was that 'The Albert'? Thanks for the post.
With apologies to Handel and G~Man, I would have rather seen Mr. Knopfler.

Very interesting hearing him sing it now with an old man's voice, since that is the viewpoint of the lyrics.
Saw them live in 1992, whilst still serving.
