Post Menopause Pre Death

Apocryphal story: attributed to being used in Eastbourne General Hospital, E. Sussex, England, town full of retired folk, on patient's notes, along with NFE (Normal For Eastbourne)

Sounds like some of the informal abbreviations we used on Passenger Name Lists prior to boarding when I was duty officer.
TC, AH, CW were some of the less polite ones not printable.
STHH - Stinks to high heaven
OB - obnoxious bastard
TTBU - tried to blag upgrade
Other such as SOL (sweet old lady), NEG (nice elderly gent), ensured good treatment and possibly an upgrade.

Edinburgh, eh ? I used to have a friend there, most charming man I ever knew, absolutely fatal to the chastity of the fair sex..lost contact with him years ago.

My near neighbour the Vicar of Whitton makes his own sandals, and wears them all year round. It makes me shiver to see him in sandals (no socks) walking across the snow. He's a super bloke, but I despair for his feet.

Me, I go for comfort. If it's too hot for shoes and socks, but too cold for bare feet and sandals, then it's black socks in the sandals. I don't really care what others think...

Btw - actually and no kidding - toe socks are really comfortable and good for feet. All colours available, black, too.

Never really thought about it, but I wear white socks with sandals occasionally. Not intentionally as such. Never drive with golf spikes on - dangerous, so slip on a pair of sandals to drive to and from golf course, changing shoes when I get there to white golf ones to go with the white socks.

Pah, sandals and socks, so infra dig! Now veldskoene without socks is just so much more sophisticated and not the least bit like white socks with green crocs..!

The question is, if no one sees you, is it still a crime LOL

Well done that man! Not a fan of shoes and would rather go bare foot. Sandals are worn under duress and veldskoen are for formal occasions. I have to wear boots for work and can feel the damage they do to my feet. At the end of a tour my feet are like little chrysanthemums whereas their normal condition is more like a rhino's scrotum, impervious to devil thorns and even small embers.

I'm obviously abnormal; possess one pair of shoes which I have worn twice, a pair of sandals which I only wear when I go out and a pair of trainers for aerobics and when we go walkabout in the bush. =))n

The War Department does not mind me wearing sandals with socks but dislikes my Crocs and dislikes them more when with socks, but calmly accepts the situation. Her son, quite image-conscious, really HATES Crocs and mocks me savagely, which is very entertaining. A lifetime of hard work on bass drum pedals has left my heels somewhat delicate, and nothing cushions footfall as well as Crocs.

When I used to visit Texas regularly my sandals clearly offended quite a number of people, obviously a clear signal to them that I am a pinko queer gay commie faggot, or possibly even worse...a LIBERAL! They all wear trainers and socks in that heat, YUK! Some of them stink, others presumably spray their feet with gallons of chemicals to reduce sweat and stink, totally mad!
