Snake and Pygmy pie filling Con Mash and Broccoli.

It would be a pie but gluten free pastry is difficult.

It's a chicken and veggie stir fry tonight, with oyster sauce. I've yet to consult the war department as to whether it'll be a chow mein, or with rice. I'm going to sneak in some smoked garlic as an experiment.

Rosbif.

Unfortunately no particularly flatulent trimmings, as I'd greatly like to fart in the general direction of M Macron.

Mrs Fliegs Tuna Mornay., an American recipe she picked up from the wives of US service Men her Mother knew, whilst seconded to the RAN about Vietnam time.

A curious mixture of 'cheddar' that is to be found unrefrigerated on the supermarket shelf, really odd stuff (I call it pantry 'cheese'), creamed corn, beer, Tuna, peas, American 'yellow' mustard, and served over shell pasta with heaps and heaps of cracked black pepper,...yep, kinda weird, oddly comforting, and probably only a few times a year if that. Being Good Friday, and Mrs Fliegs not really eating seafood, she likes this Tuna Dish....

Salmon fillets tonight, baked with Thai-style herbs and spices. Easy peasy.

p.s., why can't our transatlantic cousins pronounce the word "herbs"? I have no idea what an "urb" is.

Seems as though the worlds fish stock are depleting today.

I've been told I'm having kedgeree.

100%!, an 'Urb' indeed! an abomination of the language!

Though, having said that, to my mind, a salmon is not likely to be caught anywhere near Thailand, so why cook it 'Thai Style'?

It is called Haddock, but when one reads the small print one sees it is actually 'smoked/dyed' Hake.

One is preparing Kate and Sidney pie with full gluten pastry. To be served with roasted new potatoes and cauliflower cheese.

Went to our local butcher today (excellent butcher who recently won the 'Best Butcher in England' award) and procured some meat. As you do at a butchers. A large piece of pork belly is likely to be the centrepiece for Easter lunch. Rolled and stuffed with apricot methinks.

5 and a half years later, I'm still of the same opinion

Got a cracking specimen for tonight

Very true, but worth every penny

And this particular monster will provide a couple of fillets for the freezer

Good Friday lunch was, for my visiting daughter - baked salmon tail; for me - gurnard fillets with lemon juice and a savoury custard sauce.
Both with carrots, peas, broccoli.
And with the morn, those angel faces smile...

You make an excellent point. It's primarily because MrsP likes the taste. I also like fish curries despite jackfish being in short supply in these 'ere parts. Call it fusion. :)
