Why would anyone ever go to the golden arches.
Use them when on trips abroad as the WiFi is generally excellent and the coffee’s not bad, but it’s mainly the constant advertising in the media that’s convinced the population to use them :((
When all else fails, read the instructions.

And another. My Grandmother and mother tried very hard to convince me to eat tripe. I tried it once and nearly threw up, which, I believe, is the correct reaction.

We were fed Tripe and Onions as children. Mum used to make it in a white sauce and as I recall quite peppery.
I think we quite enjoyed it but it was 60 years ago.
Never had it since and nowadays wouldn't know where to get it (in Spain)
In the UK I expect in a village Butcher, not a Supermarket of course.

A quick reminder that you should have had your sprouts on a rolling boil since yesterday if they are to be ready in time for Dec 25th

And if you don't like your sprouts al dente then they should have been put on before Carling Sunday.

Balut does seem to get a bad press here. It's actually quite tasty with vinegar and pepper. The texture and crunchiness of the bones is unusual but, you know what, it's high in protein and cheap.

And beats some of the other street food options in the Philippines such as chicken gut with peanut butter barbequed.

I'm sure it is high in protein & cheap,....I'm sure other things are high in protein and cheap too...Salmonella poisoning seems more than a remote chance there....

What a curious thing Mrs Ex.,...I was thinking of slasher just now as I consume a Thai Red Curry, with extra chilli....

When we lived in Scarborough I was the organist at a parish church where the vicar & his wife hailed from Middlesbrough. After the morning service on Carling Sunday there was always a vat of carling peas ready to eat from plastic cups - with vinegar of course!

I made Scotch Eggs again last night. I make my own mix to ensure Gluten Free.
I learnt a tip from "Masterchef" to put some black pudding in.
Now English Black Pudding is difficult, but not impossible, here.
The Spanish equivalent Morcella is different but tasty and some are GF.
Makes a fine addition.

Tonight was Spaghetti with green pesto and pancetta.

Mañana is looking like Lemon Chicken with Spinach.
