Dined with the tribe at the Indian in Woolgoolga. As the town has a large Sikh population, the meal, as expected, was excellent. We shared a variety of appetisers and mains, including goat, beef, chicken and vegetarian. I really like their goat jahori, and added a little of the mint chutney from one of the entrees. We then walked around the block for gelatos & sorbets.

Lunch in Akaroa yesterday:
at the Crater Café, a café Americano with cream, $5;
at L'Escargot Rouge, a small gf salmon tart which had a few capers in, very tasty, $12.50.

Why are you on a rabbit food diet, EA01?

My turn to cook dinner tonight, but we agreed that a hot meal was out, so bought some crumbed flathead fillets from our local fisho, and had them cold with salad. From anywhere else we would buy the fish and cook it ourselves, but this place really knows how to cook fish properly.

Lunch yesterday at a restaurant: beautifully thinly sliced lambs' liver in gravy with bacon, onions and mushrooms, and mashed potato, $21.00, more than I could finish so was able to take a container home for later.

Lunch today: cold chicken; cooked carrots and zucchini/courgette, with butter and a few flakes of Maldon salt;
strawberries and cream with, for a treat, half a teaspoonful of coffee-sugar crystals .

'Poisson Cru'...Tahitian Raw Fish salad. Local fresh snapper, cut to bite size pieces and lef to 'cook' in lime jiuce for a few hours

Then (after draining the lime juice) mixed with finely chopped onion tomato cucumber & capsicum....then coconut cream & milk mixed in.......heaven!....(if you are ok with raw fish)

^EA01, we used to eat that in Bougainville, plenty of fresh fish, limes,salad veges & coconut there. Beautiful food.
