It's pre-yoga eggy Thursday, alas. When she's at her class, I may defrost a steak bridie or sneak off to the chippie.

Re: Wot's for Tea, Ma?
Chef went sick on us last night but not before he had specially prepared for us spaghetti Neapolitan. There is no air into the kitchen and it is hot in there. Well the owner is a chef so had to take over. He needs to put in a window.
One week to go and chef is pulling out all stops for us. Tuna croquets (spell?) salad with balsamic vinegar dressing and shaved parmesan for lunch. Lentil soup for supper.
Us being basically veggie he makes a special effort to think of things to cook for us. A big tip will be left for him.

Judging from your past posts sah I think you're gonna be put on a rabbit food diet by TS upon your return to the Manor.
As for me I'm having tasty Chink grub tonight cooked up at home by Jasper's mum. Yummy!

It is not the grub Capt it is the beer. We are sure that they put more sugar in it here to brew faster. We have both put on weight. In the heat of Botswana we will lose it again. Neither of us can be called overweight anyway.

Re: Wot's for Tea, Ma?
I had a conversation with a stranger yesterday who said he had lost weight by ceasing to have milk with his cereals.

Mrs 1DC tells me that if you are on a low carb diet (she is), then it is better to have cream on your cereal instead of milk..
Fortunately i am the cook so we eat what i want to cook. Tonight is a rather nice coconut prawn curry, she like prawns. No idea what the carb content will be..

Re: Wot's for Tea, Ma?
Just had scotch eggs with lemon sauce and salad with balsamic vinegar dressing. Supper yet to be discussed with chef.
Edit, bean shop for supper. Owner's wife has had it for lunch so if she is still alive in 5 hours we will go for it.

Breakfast earlier this rather bleak day: lamb's fry and bacon cooked with some chopped spring onion, served with a little Worcestershire sauce.

"He said some of them had been chopped into pieces and their body parts were hard to recognise." Not everyone has a freezer. At least 24 people are confirmed to have died in a brutal flare up of violence between rival tribes over several days in Hela province. Some reports put the death toll higher.
Pills Pimua Kolo from the Hela province department of health posted pictures on Facebook of what he said was the massacre in Karida village. The pictures show a row of bodies wrapped in cloth and tied to long poles. He said some of them had been chopped into pieces and their body parts were hard to recognise.

Re: Wot's for Tea, Ma?
Chef is making beefburgers he is going to stuff a couple for us with cheese. And, chips.
Probably mentioned this before but at our pub in the UK a vegetarian lady ordered a cheese burger and was pissed off when she found meat in it.

Or like the female who ordered a pizza and was asked if she wanted it cut into 8 slices or 12.
"Oh no, I couldn't possibly eat 12 slices."

Or the fat obese chick who drank a can of Diet Coke and announced she can now eat anything she wants.

Re: Wot's for Tea, Ma?
Prime rib steak is under $7 a pound today..methinks there's still a little cattle rustling around these parts
The BBQ is warming up.
I'll do the full surf & turf, plus garlic mushrooms and fries, and open a bottle of merlot.

Re: Wot's for Tea, Ma?
Maybe some horse thiefing cleverly done up to look like cattle rustling?
Jasper's old mum is incredible as a home cook. You can get none better even in the bestest HKG restaurants. Fraction of the cost too.
