Still in the thirties degC last night, so enjoyed a traditional chicken pate on a crusty light rye sourdough loaf, both bought. And the pièce de résistance, got to share it with me dog. Two mouthfuls for me and one for her. She must have enjoyed it as she burped at the end. Spoil her rotten, but having lived for the last twenty years alone, sharing a meal with Myf is magic. Cut back on her kibble so she won't get too fat.

So freaking hot here right now it will be a 'cold plate', corn, tomato, cucumber, asparagus, cold hard boiled eggs, turkey and ham, chesse cubes all dressed with a little mayonaise...

Smoked Haddock and Cauliflower Gratin per Mary Berry.
Last time I used this source of Smoked Haddock it was quite salty.

Dining in at the pub’s restaurant tonight. They’ve changed the menu and it’s now a 50% off promo of an already 30% reduction to attract ever dwindling customers. Jasper says the chef has been changed as the original bloke has since buggered off to the ‘couver. So long as the sous chefs ain’t soused I’ll give it a try.

The new menu looks quite impressive really. Cheap too!

On TRABB G-CPTN suggested that I make caterpillar stew. Too late I've already prepared cauliflower cheese which will be served with new potatoes. :D

Just made a veggie chilli bean casserole which will be served with boiled potatoes. :)

As usual I have made enough to feed an army so some will end up in the freezer for a no cook day. :D
