My father-in-law once arrived on an Easy'bus in BCN with a frozen rib of beef in his case. You could tell as condensation was running off one side of his case on the luggage belt.

Tonight it be Iberico Pigs Cheek, which is about to start cooking for an 2030 meal time, with Creamed Potatoes and summat green.

Has anyone else noticed that the pretentious cooking programs no longer refer to "Pigs Cheek", these days they refer to "Pork Cheek" which of course it is but without the Pig connection.

Must make ox cheek stew again soon. The Sons of Morris often have it in stock.

Just made the mixture for salmon fish cakes for lunch. To be accompanied with Heinz baked beans. :)

And before lunch we will raise a Christmas toast to all on ops-normal with a glass of bubbly! :YMPARTY:

:-? I was always under the impression that in an Officer's Mess Heinz baked beans were acceptable as a part of your full fat git fry up breakfast! But they did have to be Heinz as well as the tomato ketchup and mayo had to be Heinz or else! :D

Heinz baked beans are simply fart pellets. Nothing more.

I have some leftover roast pork loin in the fridge. That, with some pickles and chips, will suffice this evening.

Tomorrow we is having the leftover Iberico Pigs Cheek which is so delicious I have a further three packs in the freezer just in case it is a line just for the festivities.

Baked spinach with brown rice and cheese, except the spinach is freshly picked rape from the garden. :D

Later in the week to come I will be preparing Slasher's favourite dish, ie sun dried tomato risotto! (*)

You are indeed a good woman TS. Ex-A is a lucky man!

Me other half has just finished preparing my rabbit food dinner accompanied by a single piece of bread and butter for dessert.

Capt, just think of all those wonderful restaurants in Honkers. 'Tucker' available 24 hrs a day. Back to rabbit food on your return though.

Problem is sah the wife is smarter than all of us put together. She will probably keep me on this diet right up till Feb 2nd night when I choof off to HKG. Given I will be there about a month before the break to come home, she'll plan to make me underweight so that when I return I'll only be a kilo or so over her official weight limit for me. 🙄

Either bugger all, or overcooked pasta as it appears to be all I can eat... :(

Wrapping frozen contraband in newspaper keeps it frozen longer... Only a short flight from London to GVA though, so quite easy, unless delays. Not that I would know first-hand, of course. :^o

Chicken Chausseur with buttery mash. Brocolocoloc and carrots for veg. SWMBO is making it, which means I'm on KP and washing-up duties.
