Sunday breakfast: 2 strips bacon, 2 mushrooms, 2 small eggs, 3 cherry tomatoes, couple of spots of Worcestershire Sauce (need to buy more), GWP*.
Coffee.

*Garnished With Parsley
A typical healthy NZ/English breakfast then! ;)))
My necessaries are embark'd: farewell. Adieu! I have too grieved a heart to take a tedious leave.

Home-made crumpets for breakfast today - with lashings of Orkney butter. A culinary triumph for me, a self-confessed idiot when it comes to anything more complex than boiling an egg

Reindeer burgers, no bun, with garden fresh, wok vegetables tonight.

I will have a glass of port and watch the "Turner" sky.

Schools go back this week, which means Mrs T will watch her, Finnish, soap, restarts tomorrow, and I will be on cooking duties.

Not for tea tonight, but at some time in the near future I will be benefiting from my neighbours generosity. Yesterday he brought in a carton of duck eggs from his parents' farm. I haven't had them since I was a child, but still remember their lovely gamey taste. I'll be searching for some good recipes, so any suggestions will be gratefully received.

That's how I remember having them. Also, fried in a dab of butter. I think I'm ready to try something more adventurous - definitely an omelet, and maybe something with smoked salmon.

Lunch today: baked salmon fillets with honey-mustard and dill;
broccoli and courgettes;
potatoes which I'd planned to mash but didn't;
celery, onion, red and green capsicum, and cherry-tomatoes, sautéed in coconut oil.
And with the morn, those angel faces smile...

More of What’s for breakfast post, but our local butcher has been making up different recipes for sausages, surpassed himself this week with black pudding, pork and brown sauce flavoured ones, what a great way to start the day :-bd
