Re: Wot's for Tea, Ma?
Ouch indeed, EA01. I cut my thumb a few weeks ago, and must have nicked the tendon. I can feel the extra collagen as a lump under the skin. It was food-related, as I was trying to break the vacuum on a stubborn jar of grilled peppers using the tip of my pocket knife.
Pot roast beef tonight, but MrsP has completely taken over the kitchen. It's marmalade season.

Stovies with the last of the pot roast tonight. I must be in a beef mood, as I had an open sandwich with bresaola for lunch.

MrsP wants steak for tea. That's the good news. The BAD news is she wants me to freeze my 'nads off cooking it on the barbecue.

I escaped the BBQ threat. Fettled a nice lemony chicken one-pot last night, and tonight is mince'n'tatties. Making too much, so a cottage pie tomorrow, and a few wee portions for Magnusgranddottir#1 in the freezer. Sorted.

There used to be a butcher in Kings Lynn that disposed of the results of the shoots at Sandringham.
Very reasonably priced they were. Affordable on a Cpl/Techs wage.

There's a cottage pie in the fridge waiting to be popped in the oven. Buttered cabbage with caraway seeds on the side.

Was back in UK for '99 Christmas. Local Sainsburies or Tesco was selling pheasant or partidge cheap on Christmas eve. Bought three, roasted for Boxing Day lunch. Was bloody amazed, spent much of lunch picking lead shot out of the birds.

The air fryer will be busy today; spicy chickpea cutlets ( a spicy take on falafel in breadcrumbs) with fried potatoes and served with a home made tomato sauce.
