She's not on the AFTN mate. Besides she'd probably flog the ACARS unit off to buy a new stove.

Just tested out a new soup recipe, carrot and leek with wooster sauce and parmesan cheese. Yummy! :)

Sounds like something an Aussie would do for a bottle of Bundy... ;;)

Back in my Qld days one consumed Croc rum (Bundaberg added extra rocket fuel ingredients. Only available in Cairns). This stuff would put one well and truly under the table after half a bottle.

If one was still capable of standing up and staggering off to the dunny after that amount, one then realised it wasn't Croc at all but regular Bundy and that somebody ****.

Had the pleasure of Malay grub for dinna just now, courtesy of the upstairs maid. I forgot to eat anything today so she made up very generous portions.

Entree was won ton mee soup
Then beef rendang
Main was Nasi goreng with a side of Popiah
Dessert was Cendol

All absolutely Fantastic! (note capital F) 😋

I don't think there's any cuisine she can't cook short of otter steak and fried hippo entrails.

Fresh melon and Serrano ham followed by linguine (bronze die, of course) with smoked salmon creamy sauce.

Salmon steak and baked potato with carrot batons and broccoli. Checking me bloods tonight, I'll have proper food afterwards.

I'm jealous of Slasher, Malay and Indonesian food are my favourites, one of the reason I enjoy my frequent trips to Holland.

Had chicken curry tonight, made it a few weeks ago and it's been gathering potency in the freezer, was rather good.

Spaghetti (bronze cut from Italy ) with homemade vegetarian sauce made with fresh veggies and a tin of Woolies organic Italian tomatoes. It will be topped with Italian parmesan cheese. Yummy! :)

Thank you Woolies food for importing all this nice food from Italy :D

Had spaghetti from a can with some buttered bread. I don't think Cape will be jealous of that! Maid sick and I don't have time to go out for decent grub.

Nope, I'm note jealous, because I'm sitting in a whisky bar in Dublin and about to head for either my favourite Thai here, or a great Irish pub.

Since I can't move around much (see TRABB) I phoned the upstairs maid early this arvo to cook me din dins tonight. Told her anything Italian. Main course will be enough. She asked me if I had a pref? Surprise me I said. She'll deliver the grub in about a half hour from now.

A traditional meal from Mrs C16 tonight - mince and tatties with oatmeal, neeps and carrots.

Last night was Chinese - the basis is ma po tofu, but then it goes off-piste - pork (actually I used lardons) marinated in Chinese wine, sesame oil and soy sauce, then cooked with garlic, dried red chilli, Korean go gu jang for more chilli effect, tofu, pak choi and rice noodles, with coriander and Thai basil chucked over the top at the end. All completely authentic Asian ingredients in an unholy unauthentic mix and absolutely delicious. Changes every time I make it.

Tonight I'm still not going out so my knee can heal, so I'll continue to stay in.

I called up the upstairs maid for Chinese grub this evening after reading Octo's post. Copied edited and Whatsapp'd her the recipe and she said she'll see what she can do. Only had to tell her what 'chucked' means.

Last night was her surprise cannelloni. Superb as always. 😋

The maid has great cooking skills in her own right Octo, so I'm sure it'll be delish. 👍🏻
