Magnusdottir#1 is popping in this evening, and has ordered pasta with smoked salmon, vodka, cream and chilli. I hear and obey.

Sounds very good Magnus!, As much as I love chilli though, I'd drop it for a sprinkle of dill in that recipe.....but then I'm not cooking for magnusdottir#1 either...Magnusdottir#1 is popping in this evening, and has ordered pasta with smoked salmon, vodka, cream and chilli. I hear and obey.

Nicked a recipe from the Telegraph today. It's a pork ragu with orzo (pasta, not barley). Sauce is quite tasty.

Bit late , as we’ve already eaten it, venison braised in red wine with lots of fresh veggies.
When all else fails, read the instructions.

For the second night in a row, chicken rogan josh with vegetable rice plus mango chutney and poppadums.
Mrs S enjoyed it so much last night she demanded more of the same tonight.

It was going to be crumbed lamb cutlets....but at $42.00 per KG, it most certainly will not be!
So, perhaps an avocado cocktail to begin with, then -
Crumbed lamb leg steaks (instead of cutlets!)....with seasonal vegetables & buttered noodles, then -
Creme Caramel (Ok ok, I'm not cooking those!...they were on special!)

Re: Wot's for Tea, Ma?
I was at the podiatry clinic today, and there's an M&S food place there, so I bought a pizza with Italian meats (easy cooking for me) and two bags of gigantic chocolate buttons for the War Department (brownie points for me). All in all, a decent outing.

Re: Wot's for Tea, Ma?
Had a 9am appointment in the orthotics place for new shoes, and was instructed to stop at Waitrose on the way back. Butter chicken and pulao rice. Sadly, it was before 10am and I was unable to replenish the booze cupboard. There's plenty to keep us going, but the Sons of Morris will be visited tomorrow.
