We all love it. Buy it frozen from Aldi and very good it is too.
In the Philippines they serve a similar dish:
You are sitting at your beach bar and the barman puts on the rice cooker, grabs one of those throwing net thingies and Wade's out into the sea and chucks the net of few times returning to the bar with his catch of small fish still wriggling away in the net. Fresh rice put in bowls and the still live fish added.
Sarah, as they say!

Every dining in night bloody whitebait for starters. It is what it says "bait' to use to catch bigger fish which you can fillet. You don't eat bait as you don't eat worms.

MrsP is making her meatball dish using picante fennel sausage meat from the Italian deli tonight. I'm having a go at gluten-free olive and rosemary focaccia while the visitors are still here. We'll see.....

Pea Soup - not a spur-of-the-moment recipe. ("put the peas to soak the previous day")

Had Ox Tail last night, with a suitably robust 6 year old Fleur Du Cap Merlot.
Smashing it was.

Tribal gathering in Cataluña, lunch will be at about 6 o'clock preceded by droning speeches and followed by lots of noise. I shall be walking back to the very quiet house we're staying in while everyone else is being deafened by 500 dB. of amplified crap.

Got some nice king prawns, so I have taken MrsP's order for prawns in satay sauce. She's heading for shoe shops this arvo, and we're meeting up for a pre-prandial refreshment afterwards. I'll try not to get over-refreshed in case I make a bolleaux of the tea.

Ice-cream parlour newly opened (don't think our village has ever had one before) so I treated myself to a 'Father's Day' sundae (well, sundae/Sunday - who cares).
My honest opinion is that the one in the nearby town does it better and cheaper - and I can get there on the bus for free.

As apparently it’s Fathers Day tomorrow and I’ve been a very good boy doing painting, nice piece of steak going to be consumed, maybe even open a bottle of Vergelegen Red
When all else fails, read the instructions.
