And the Rover BRM has blown up again! I remember listening to the racing in the 50s. In the absence of TV and certainly colour, we had to make do with Dinky Toys racers with their pale blue, bright red or dark green colours.

I see Hamilton has "reopened" salary negotiations with Mercedes and is now asking for a mere $70,000,000 a year from next season. In real money, £40,000,000. No doubt plus bonuses.

Greedy little *****. I wonder how much he will be contributing to 'Black Lives Matter'.

Back in the days when Prost drove for Ferrari in one of his critical moments he said that the problem Ferrari has is that they allowed their crew to drink Lambrusco at lunchtime.

It did not go down well as I recall.

Watching Indy car racing, I see they have adopted an aeroscreen:-

With ambient temperature of 90 deg F the drivers are struggling with overheating in the cockpit despite the vents at the base of the screen.

I wish they would have upheld one of the charges, a real "Is it 'cos I is Black" moment.

I have no animosity towards LH, and I have no doubt that throughout his life he has encountered racism.
Consider now a homosexual male (who, similarly, probably encountered incidents of homophobia growing up).
Is it appropriate that they should organise an event expecting all of their 'workmates' to stand and declare that such treatment is wrong?

Just saying.

On the other hand if you believe that what the Romans are doing to the slaves is wrong you all might want to tell the oppressors that you are Spartacus!

I hope the director in Austria concentrates on the midfield which shows great promise, c'mon Lando.

I see the Mercedes steering wheeze was accepted by the stewards...

Lewis yellow flag case re-opened after protest from Red Bull.

Could be three-place grid drop . . .

Red Bull protest stewards' decision.

Slamdunk.

There was, apparently, a 'move' to remove Ted Kravitz from the SkyF1 team last year to be replaced by Karun Chandhok, and it was only after the public demanded that he be reinstated that he re-appeared after a couple of races, well, Ted's Notebook is now just 'the Notebook'.

I would assume that the two Ferraris were of identical specification (to each other).

Leclerc 2nd versus 4-times World Champion 10th.

Just saying.

Anyone else reckon Lewis's 5 second penalty was wrong?

The penalty is correct for causing an accident, the question is was it a "racing incident" or was it caused by Hamilton. I'm in the racing incident camp.

Hamilton just had a bad week end.He is paid a boat load of money to race but I suspect he got sidetracked by the political mess and lost focus. He should have been able to have got the pole and walked away with an easy win.

It is going to be interesting to see if calm prevails in the MB camp for the rest of the season.

Today just showed once again how screwed F1 is in my opinion.

The commentators were saying that Bottas should have let Hamilton though to remove the 5 second penalty.

That would be a team decision, not for Bottas. It would have been an interesting thumb of the nose.
