McLaren must be quietly happy with their drivers despite Sainz not managing to get ahead of Gasly... both cars in the top 4...

I suspect he will be consulting his contract lawyers ASAP to see if there is anyway out of that one. Ferrari are so badly off the pace that it might take some time for them to come back.

On such things can promising careers founder. First Alonso, and now poor Vettel not prospering with the prancing horse.

When they played the video from Hamilton's car camera he passed two signs flashing red crosses at him.As far as I can see there is no debate.

The bad part of it is that they were allowed to change tires under red conditions. It essentially made some cars gain unfair benefit I feel.In NASCAR the car cannot be touched under red conditions.

I'm happy for Gasly as he has been up there all season , often in front of Albon.I don't think it will be long and he will be back at Red Bull.Sainz gave it his best but we all could hear him saying that he struggled once he got into the dirty air behind Gasly

I look forward to watching the NASCAR race at the "Lady in Black" later today.I have been to a race at Darlington and it usually produces some great racing.

I see F1 are considering making the team radio chatter available to people at the track with scanners which allow you to tune in to any of the teams.

They do it at NASCAR and it is great to listen in on the discussions going on between the drivers and their engineers during the race.

I think that F1 should do it as it will make it much better for spectators at the track.

Seenenough was referring to the US Darlington track, as I am sure you know...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darlington_Raceway
Darlington has something of a legendary quality among drivers and older fans; this is probably due to its long track length relative to other NASCAR speedways of its era and hence the first venue where many of them became cognizant of the truly high speeds that stock cars could achieve on a long track. The track allegedly earned the moniker The Lady in Black because the night before the race the track maintenance crew would cover the entire track with fresh asphalt sealant, in the early years of the speedway, thus making the racing surface dark black. Darlington is also known as "The Track Too Tough to Tame" because drivers can run lap after lap without a problem and then bounce off of the wall the following lap. Racers will frequently explain that they have to race the racetrack, not their competition. Drivers hitting the wall are considered to have received their "Darlington Stripe" thanks to the missing paint on the right side of the car.

An Italian team winning the Italian GP. Expect more warning lights to be installed out of the driver's line of sight...

LH stated that, as he was preparing to enter the pits, he was checking the positions of the switches on his steering wheel and so was looking down rather than where the lights were.
The pit crew failed to notice the warnings which were on page four of their information, however an employee back in England did detect the closure.

Perez's only options ,i think ,after the Mercedes B Team ,is Haas ,who have still not contracted their drivers for next year maybe Alfa, both of which are running uncompetitive Ferrari engines.

Perez has a lot of Carlos Slim's money backing him.

Which means that Racing Point will have to employ a lot of Stroll's money to finance Vettel.

Aston Martin isn't a positive source of finance.

I think MB will 'sponsor' and make 'suggestions " on setup for Vettel at the MB "B" Team as think that they would like to see him in one of their powered cars.A German in a German powered car that looks exactly like last years MB car.Who knows we may even see Vettel doing a test or two in one of the "A" team cars.

Remember also that all teams have spending caps next year.MB spends about $330 mill a year to run their team and that has to drop to around $150 mill if I recall correctly

There may not be any engineers with knowledge of how to set up for Mugello.

Ferrari regularly used it for allowed testing. In 2012 there was an in season test there, all attended.
Now 2012 is a few years ago but there is some experience there.
