Hamilton finger trouble it seems, they use a system which automatically shifts the brake balance full forwards this keeps the front brakes warm and as a side effect the tyres.
Hamilton accidentally re-activated it.

Mercedes: put new tyres on the car when it doesn't need them and don't when it does. Bad strategies.

Wonder if F-1 car designers know about guarded switches or if they are just pushbuttons on the wheel? The steering wheels I've seen look very badly designed in terms of ergonomics.

Not just F1, I have a circular multi function switch on my Toyota, adjacent functions have the effect of stop/go and there is no 'feel' between functions.

Woody, which is rather better than one that was neither near the light switch nor had a warning notice. The sole techie who worked in the workshop was not worried, he knew where it was!

Why the gorilla?
What significance does it have to the sponsors?

So, what is the verdict of the 'learned'? Is it Hamilton or the team strategists/techies?

Which 'gorilla'?

Or through the gap with neither in full control.

The strategy boys are out of control. It should be the drivers calling tire changes, with one proviso: they need to know "Where will I come out ? "

There was a multicoloured gorilla at the side of the prizegiving stand and each recipient received a small effigy.

Why can’t they make tyres that last for the whole race?

Because the dwarf decided that tyres needed to be limited so that there were tyre-stops.

The best strategist at Mercedes seems to be Rosie Wait (Head of Race Strategy).

She went on maternity leave the day after the Spanish GP.

Now I know one person does not make a team , or shouldn't but ....................

Think the barstewards today need a spot of disciplining themselves. Racing incidents are just that . If they wanted to do something constructive perhaps they should look at the driving of the mad fFrenchman involved in all the incidents. He's dangerous.
