Re: Formula One
I think he knows he's on his way out, so he doesn't care. I imagine there's been a meeting without coffee with Herr Wolff this morning. Stop Press: I've just read that he's signed up with Alfa for next season. Good look to him. I imagine George Russell will soon be measured up for a racing suit in the Merc colours.
Re: Formula One
I didn't think a meeting was necessary! Who will be in the seat in Italy? Only 3 days to go. Strong rumour Russell signed after the GP.

Re: Formula One
And if Toto thinks Russell will be happy to be Number Two he's mistaken. Would not be surprised if we have not seen the end to the knee-taking dreadlock-wearer's string of World Championships which were achieved despite Mercedes' useless strategy "experts".
Re: Formula One
Doesn't he already have a zoot-suit fitted out from when he stood in for the hairy one?Tango15 wrote:I imagine George Russell will soon be measured up for a racing suit in the Merc colours.

Re: Formula One
Quite possibly, but that may have been off the peg, 'cos they didn't know whether he was eventually going to drive for them.
Re: Formula One
Certainly not, Sir - Saville Row or nothing. Which side does Sir dress?
PS Where can you buy an 'off the peg' GP racing suit? Burtons?

Re: Formula One
From what I have seen, you'd need a racing driver's salary to buy some of that stuff!

And you think they buy their own?
I wonder how the pit crew kit compares.

Re: Formula One
The shreddies I believe have an excess of material around the bum area, this allows for the old ring piece to bite buttonholes out of them in moments of peril.

Re: Formula One
I wonder what the G force is when they go from Mach 0.25 to zilch in 50 yards?
Can't do the brain box much good.

There is, of course, the unwritten rule that none of the car seats should have upholstery buttons or there is a risk they might never get the driver out.bob2s wrote:the old ring piece to bite buttonholes out of them in moments of peril.
Re: Formula One
Hamilton and Verstappen - not smart.

Blame on Max. 3 place grid drop and penalty points.

Re: Formula One
I thought it was a better race after those two had their coming together.

Note how Verstappen didn't even look to see if Hamilton was OK.
