Conservation Force (CF), which is run by a veteran hunter who once said “nothing else in life is more satisfying than an elephant hunt”, has argued successfully for protections for endangered species to be rolled back and has blocked measures that would curb “sport hunting”, the Campaign to Ban Trophy Hunting says.

Micro dick is correct.

Those with unimpressive tiny dongs employ what I call Male Compensation. Loud motorbikes, loud cars, loud dressing, loud idiotic tattoos, big loud watches and hunting and killing animals who do no harm.

Er...my having flown big loud noisy jets is not up for debate! :p

Six Ukip MEPS, including leader Nigel Farage, have come under heavy criticism after it emerged they had voted ‘No’ to a resolution that would help prevent the illegal trade of ivory in Europe.

The vote that took place in January, saw only 14 of Europe’s 671 MEPs vote ‘no’ to a motion that, according to the creators of the resolution, would “send a clear signal against worldwide wildlife trafficking.”

Of these 14, six were from UKIP.
Not a new story but completely indefensible.

Met Farage on a flight once and noted that he was oleaginous and smelled heavily of alcohol. Not a nice person at all methinks.

Prison sentences should be imposed on people caught fox hunting, campaigners have urged.

The demand comes after a poll revealed the majority of people support introducing custodial sentences for those convicted of illegal hunting.

This may seem a bit extreme, but why not?

This is the tyranny of the majority, that's why not.
Nevermind the fact that this and numerous other legal changes are disingenuous. There is no logical reason for stopping the hunting of one animal and not another. The cruel bit is just PR, since it is almost entirely subjective. The real objective is the banning of all hunting, including fishing. However, the LACS and others know very well they'd be defeated immediately if they stated their ultimate objective, so the aim is to gradually legally strangle to death all hunting, bit by bit. This is, to coin a recent term, lawfare. The use of legal costs, delays, and bureaucracy to make it not worth fighting for what is basically not banned. It's fundamentally dishonest.
Now go find the people who support LACS, and you'll find the same crowd want people locked up for any number of other reasons, including incorrect use of transgender pronouns.

Maybe the majority should be listened to. The majority of people don't care about misuse of gender pronouns, but they do care about wanton cruelty to animals. I can support arguments for the destruction of vermin, which foxes are, when necessary, but not in the cruel and destructive manner done by the so-called 'hunters'. I have had a couple of run-ins with 'hunters' and they are horrible bloody people.

Killing animals for food is acceptable, killing them for 'sport' is not.

That tends to be a distinction in the US, people shoot deer and various birds but the intent is that it's for food. It's humans they tend to shoot for sport.

Foxhunting with hounds would be easily suppressed if any significant number of people in the area disagreed with it. The ban on foxhunting is a failure because the people in the countryside don't want it. We have the same thing around here with illegal ATV riding, which almost all ATV riding is, because no one is going to report the offences. No one, and that's not from any kind of pressure, it's just because they all think the law is stupid.
And every time stupid laws get passed, and not repealed when they are shown to be stupid, it diminishes the validity of the law as a whole. If you turn everyone into a criminal, then no one gives a stuff about the law. May as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb. That's the real big picture. Tony Blair's a war criminal and enjoying being a millionaire, the vast majority of MPs were guilty of expenses fraud and got off with a slap on the wrist, and Joe Bloggs goes to prison because his dog killed a fox. And there are already far, far too many laws.

It is high time that the barbaric and cruel practice of shooting anything that moves by these so-called 'hunters' is banned. This is not by any means the first time that innocent people have been killed, not to mention the destruction of wildlife and the deprivation of peaceful enjoyment from people who wish to enjoy the outdoors.

Solution : Put all the 'hunters' in a circle and let them shoot each other to their hearts' content.
Calls for hunting ban in France after pregnant woman killed by dogs while on forest stroll

Elisa Pilarski, was walking her own dogs when dogs being used in a hunt attacked her

French hunters are facing calls for a blanket ban this season after a pregnant woman was killed by dogs while a hunt with hounds was taking place nearby.

The body of the 29-year-old, who was walking her own dogs, was discovered on a path in the forest of Retz near the town of Villers-Cotterêts, northeast of Paris.

She died after "several dog bites to the upper and lower limbs and the head," said local prosecutor Frederic Trinh.

Police are conducting tests on 93 dogs in an attempt to establish which of the dogs were behind the attack.

The woman, who was six months pregnant, was walking with five of her own dogs when the attack took place.

An autopsy showed that the victim suffered dog bites to the head, torso and arms before and after death. Police said they had opened a manslaughter investigation.

“No line of inquiry has been ruled out at this stage,” said the prosecutor, including the possibility she was attacked by stray dogs. “Numerous technical investigations will help determine the origin of the bites.”

The woman had telephoned her husband on Saturday to say she was worried that a pack of dogs were about to attack her. He later found her body, reportedly after following the distressed cries of her dogs.

The pack of hounds was hunting deer, according to the local newspaper Le Courrier Picard.

Brigitte Bardot, the former actress who is president of an animal welfare foundation, called on French authorities to immediately suspend "all hunt authorisation for this season" after the "shocking" death.

The French hunting association said in a statement that there was no evidence of "the involvement of hunting hounds in the death of this woman”.

It said that there were 30,000 hunting dogs in France in 390 companies. “These dogs are trained to hunt a particular animal and obey man in all circumstances,” it said.

Excellent clip Woody. Don't understand the lioness. They normally do the hunting.

Stupid people standing up in their vehicles. Look at the number of them. Here in the private concessions it is a maximum of three vehicles per sighting. Quite often you do not see another vehicle all day. You get what you pay for.
