Bad CRM clip
I have been trying to find the clip from a WWII movie where the captain has an argument with the first officer and slaps him. I have promised to send the clip to a WWII veteran but I can't locate it. So any help will be most welcome.
Re: Bad CRM clip
I think it is John Wayne if that helps.

I knew a Yarpie sqn cdr used to punch his copilots so hard they would have a numb arm. Met him going through a doorway on his station, got a double hand punch under my rib cage. Winded me.

Re: Bad CRM clip
One of my basic flying course guys had a bruise on his right side from where his instructor used to keep elbowing him in the ribs; the guy made fast jet. Another had an instructor who would slap him round the head, but since we wore helmets this caused far more pain to the instructor than the student; he was chopped at Valley and went Canberras.
My instructor was the most vicious of the lot, he used........satire

Boac, thanks a lot for the clip.
F3, I will have a look on your clip. I have an input to present as soon as time is available.

Legend has it that in the local Air Force academy, helmets had to be a tight fit to avoid them spinning around when hit by the instructor.

Once had a great Ugandan student. After burning holes in the sky for a while I would thump him on his helmet and say "OK. take us home". It got to the stage where if I did not thump him on the head he thought he had done a bad trip.

I was raised in that airline age where being severely yelled at by the training captain meant you were making progress. Never been thumped though.
"What the fcuk are you doing Rod?"
"The Cairns DME arrival. What's wrong?"
"What's your altitude?"

"Nothing I can see."

"Ah...the approach checklist please."
"That's better ya dumb sh!t. And FFS don't forget it again!"
